Krystal Expedia representative!
Just wanted to give a shout out to Krystal from Expedia (representative), she’s actually fixed all of our problems. She went above and beyond to help us. First day did not go very well, we called the front desk 40 times and promised roll away bed for my son but they kept saying yes and it was ignored and at one point I think they blocked our room number! lol So he ended up sleeping on the sofa with his other sibling.

Poor food quality.
My wife and I were celebrating our 6 year anniversary here. We got food poisoning on our last day at the hibachi restaurant. The restaurant staff at all the restaurants we dined at had a bad attitude. As someone who has been to many great all inclusive resorts, it felt like the food and service quality was lacking everywhere we went. Overall, the hotel is very big and nice and offers great amenities for families to enjoy. Special shoutout to Krystel who was our Expedia concierge. She seemed to be the only person who wanted to help us during our stay.

I was overcharged
After looking at my bill, the night before check out, All of the charges were correct, but somehow after I returned home, I have nine hundred dollars in fraudulent charges from the hotel on my bill. I was not impressed by the so called diamond club.I didn't find that the services were worth any extra charges for the rooms. The food is not very good and the drinks are watered down. My Feedback for this hotel is that they Should require that their employees who work with the hotel guests speak better english. The hotel itself is very nice and has all of the amenities for a resort, but I recommend you get an itemized bill for everything you charge or pay cash.

So-so
Overall is was nice, not sure it was worth the cost though. Food was terrible and lines were long. Check in process took a long time. We were given a 600$ resort credit which was basically a coupon book that had too many restrictions and made it hard to use. Alcohol was very watered down. Staff was excellent. Resort was clean. Reservations were needed for everything even the kids activities.
This was the ‘ham’ on my sandwich, which I’m pretty sure is just a sliced hotdog

The Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun is not worth the premium price you pay. The check-in process was slow due to room cleaning, despite the resort being nearly empty. It felt like they were making excuses without any valid reason. The resort is built on a swamp, and the surrounding area has a persistent muddy smell. While the staff tries their best to improve your experience, they can only do so much to cover up the poor management of the property. You will pay a premium price here because of the brand name, but this is not the Royalton experience I've had at other locations. It feels like a cheaper version of the Royalton I know. The drinks provided are no different from those at any average resort, so why pay more here? The food at the restaurants was generally good, but the buffet needs improvement. For example, every morning, they ran out of bacon. Being in Mexico, I expected more avocado, but it was either limited or unavailable if you didn't arrive early. It was amusing that some friends had to eat at the buffet for dinner because the restaurants were full, yet I walked into an empty restaurant. Some restaurants were closed due to low occupancy, so you might miss out on trying them if you visit during the low season. If you're looking for a beach experience, this is not the place for you. The beach doesn't give you that Caribbean feel, and swimming is limited due to the presence of crocodiles. However, Krystel, our Expedia representative, was exceptional.

Great property! There was a lot of leaks and some sewer issues that caused one side of the building to smell pretty bad but kind of expected after a hurricane/storms a few weeks prior to us arriving. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and quick to fix any issues that came up. Would definitely recommend. Our 7 year old daughter loved it.

We had a great time, and everything was top notch. Our only reservations which I wish someone would have notified us beforehand was the age limits on ALL water parks and slides on property. Any children under the age of 5 will not be permitted down any or the waterslides in both parks or will not be allowed into the trampoline park, bowling, or laser tag. Also, they will not be able to be left at the kids club.

Had mixed feelings while reading reviews, but it turned out to be great resort, Lots of pools, restaurants and nice water park. Our host Alejandro was great, helped us with all bookings and showed us around, stayed in touch for the length of the trip. It rained 1 day but he couldn't do anything about it!

We had an amazing time at this resort! This was our first time in Cancun and I can’t stop thinking about how we made the right choice in Royalton splash. Jonathan, our Expedia expert and butler, was the highlight of this trip. We can’t wait to come back next year!
