Stay at a place near the beach but that also has a pool, because sometimes there are periods of on/off pouring rain with gorgeous sunshine in between, and you want to have the option to get indoors and back outdoors quickly.

I leave in Miami, but I am originally from Carolina. I love my city, but Isla Verde which is the tourist area, need improvement in street reconstruction and some old buildings improvements for safety.

The beach at Carolina is safe and quiet. The area is ok. Easy Uber trip to San Juan and Condado where the beach is very dangerous. Many people drawn at Condado every year.

It's a central location that was safe to walk around. The amount of restaurant options was versatile and there were other stores right off the highway location of this hotel.
"The gentleman at the front desk (Edwin) took care of us…. I inadvertently booked our room for September instead of July.!!!! he handled the situation with the upmost professionalism, and was able to get us in a room. The service industry needs more people like Edwin. When we go back to Puerto Rico, we will definitely stay here.
