Very good, but didnt nail the extra touches
We stayed in a Master Suite so this review covers preference. The Good: The food was outstanding in every resturant and cafe The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming The suite was fabulous We participated in a number of activities including Karaoke, Retro night, Piano Bar DJ night and all were very good entertainment. The let downs We used the butler/concierge in preference for 4 things and only 1 happened correctly 1. We asked for drinks to the room and they never came. This on its own I wouldnt single out but 2. We ordered an anniversary breakfast that was late after we reminded them 3. We asked for airport transfer that never got booked. Thats too many issues not to point it out. Finally, we live in Mexico but met family over on holiday from the UK. We were preference they were not so when I was offered hydrotherapy that was free with the suite I wanted my cousin to get it as she wouldve loved it. They didnt permit it. If I asked for her in addition to me Id understand but I didnt take my free session. Would we go again? Yes we would. We go to cancun 3-4 times a year and chose Secrets The Vine because family were staying. The experience wasnt perfect BUT there is so much to like about the hotel, staff, food, guest interactions we will go back. What I am not sure of is going preference again. I didnt think the service was there at all. But I would go back to the hotel more generally.

No Ac in common areas which wasn’t horrible since the weather never went above 84 and cloudy but I could only imagine on a hot sunny day. Would I come back? Me gusto la comida, para ser un todo incluido es la mejor cocina que he probado y he estado en cancun 7 veces en diferentes hoteles. Lo que odiè fue que quisieron darme otra habitación sin antes consultarmelo, me la dieron una hora tarde y tambien odiè como todo el tiempo trataban de venderte un update. Todo el tiempo era por 100 dólares mas tienes esto, por 100 dolares mas tienes aquello. Hellooo entonces què es lo que sí tengo incluido??? 🙄 y mas importante el aire acondicionado horrible, en el lobby no hay quien esté y las habitaciones no enfríaban tampoco, no había ventilador de techo lo q lo hacia mucho peor.

I had an amazing time at Secrets the Vine. The architecture and interior design of the resort itself is beautiful and well thought-out, from how most rooms have a view of the ocean, to the distribution of pools, to the design of the restaurants. The staff were overall very welcoming and friendly, which was much appreciated especially as I was a solo traveler. There weren't many cons to my stay, but if I have to list them, I'd point out some wear and tear in my hotel room, with one of the light switches needing to be fixed (they repaired it) and a couple burnt out light bulbs at the vanity mirrors. It was also very hot in the lobby areas on some days. But overall, the majority of shared spaces were clean and well-maintained.

Overall, this was a great resort. For the price and a last-minute trip, we felt like we got a great deal and experience. I would return and probably opt for the preferred club experience next time. Some pros: - every restaurant we went to was great, with friendly service, and expectations food for an all-inclusive. We even had trouble deciding where we wanted to each on our last night because we enjoyed all of the restaurants so much. Our favorites were the steakhouse and sushi - very clean and modern rooms - we had a very quick check-in experience with only about 15 minutes from the time we arrived via shuttle until we were up in our room with our bags - great availability of poolside chairs as long as you get there at a reasonable hour and the poolside servers/bartenders were great - the resort is very tastefully decorated, open and spacious - AC in the room worked great! Some cons: - the room service left something to be desired - there is a "musty" smell in some areas of the resort and it is heavily covered with fragrance boxes that are tricky for people with breathing issues. There was even a leak in the hallway on the days that we were there but we had some really heavy rains - if you are in a room overlooking the pools, prepare for some very loud late-night entertainment (mariachi tap dancing, karaoke, etc). Highly recommend earplugs if you plan on going to bed before midnight - the drinks weren't the best and used "well" liquors, but they got the job done

**Hotel Review** We recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall wonderful experience. The property is exceptionally clean, with a modern and upgraded look that gives off a very comfortable and inviting feel. The main restaurants were fantastic, with spectacular food and options. Although we're not typically buffet people, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and abundance of choices at the buffet. The variety of dishes and their unique flavors truly stood out. However, there were a few areas where the experience didn’t fully meet expectations. The inclusive alcohol offered was low to middle-shelf quality, even in the Preferred Club, where premium selections were promised. A few times, we were able to get premium drinks, but often, we were told that they were unavailable or had run out, with staff suggesting we try again the next day. Additionally, we found the air conditioning to be inconsistent across the hotel. While some areas were refreshingly cool, others, like the lobby and the Asian restaurant, were noticeably warm, which ultimately kept us from dining at the Asian restaurant. On a positive note, the beach was well-maintained, clean, and enjoyable, as were the pools. If you have specific alcohol preferences, we’d recommend buying a bottle at the hotel (we bought a bottle of Don Julio 70 tequila) to carry with you throughout your stay – it made a big difference for us. This property has potential if they were willing to put the air conditioning on. All Main areas and restaurants were literally a sweat shop. Temperature had to be at least 90 degrees all day, every day. Was an absolute horrible experience. Additionally every dinner we had took a minimum of 2 hours from point of getting the menu to actually getting your food .This a long wait especially when there is no air and you are sweating. It’s a shame that their operations are such a mess because it’s actually a nice property . I would not return to this property.

Beautiful place and the staff is awesome! Ceasar from the steakhouse house was friendly, Efrain have amazing workout class routines. And we also had our own concierge in case any questions in which Andrea did an amazing job in texting us every morning with all the hotel’s activities. The place is awesome!

I had to checkout early due to declining hotel services and poor Airconditioning in room and almost no Airconditioning in mail lobby area. Hotel promised me full refund and I have not received anything yet I stayed this resort for last 6 years and quality has nosedived Will not stay there again

Was not a fan of how small the property was, don’t know who thinks is a great idea to have a massive fire place going inside the main lobby in a tropical place so stupid could not watch he bands be cause it was so hot in there, Restaurant are decent, spa is way over priced for what you get, we have been to at least 12 all inclusive resort and this is our first one that the wife and would not consider going back to or recommending.
