I like Barcelo Maya in general- people are friendly, property is nice. I have been there 8 times. Sadly to say, each time I notice something that's getting to the worse. For example this time the sliding door in my room(Palace-Oxaca) didn't slide, it was really hard to open. Same issue with closet door and some drawers. Other than that...I would recommend staying in Barcelo Maya Grand resort The nature takes over. Beach is perfect, sea water is amazing

The checkin process was very long. There were issues with the reservation as well between the hotel and Expedia, which they said happens often. The room feels Wet, leaving my clothes and worse, the sheets feeling wet. It feels like sleeping in wet clothes all the time. The aircon cannot be adjusted.
