Excellent City Escape
We had an amazing greeting upon arrival. No request was too much trouble. The food, drinks, and service were all first class. Spending New Year’s Eve in the comfort of the Wallace lounge looking over Edinburgh castle was a highlight. The only slight dampener was being given an accessible room for our first night instead of the room we selected via website. That said, we were moved the next day and all was well.

The food, drinks, staff and atmosphere really make this hotel such a special place to stay. What a wonderful hotel. It is beautiful on a wonderful street. My room was lovely. Comfy bed, fantastic bathroom with a luxurious soaking tub and a rainfall shower. The best part is the staff. Very attentive and kind. Delicious room service -- I love room service and it's becoming more and more rare. It's an historic building but everything is redone and in good working order. BTW, Edinburgh, in general is full of kind, lovely people. It's a beautiful, historic city -- Highly recommend this city and this hotel.
