Disappointed
In all honesty, highly disappointed but can't fault any staff during our visit. The lounge and common areas are very nice and the breakfast and staff excellent, no queues or issues here. Rooms seemed fairly basic to me. A couple of nice little extras available for children in reception, which were much appreciated. We booked this solely because it had a pool, there is no other reason really as other hotels were more affordable by far. The £20 family pool charge came as a complete surprise after I'd promised our children daily swimming. I can now see this information is available, but when looking and comparing countless hotels i missed this detail. £15 a day to park on top of the room rate was a letdown. We were told they'd note us for an upgrade due to our disappointment if available but we didn't notice any upgrade. The pool was fine but there wasn't even a spin dryer and no shallow end for younger kids. When you take away the pool, the rooms are not much different to a Premier Inn. No heated towel rail to dry swimwear. Our room for four didn't have enough beside tables which isn't a big deal, but inconvenient when you want to relax with a drink. Overall, just feel like it was overpriced and the pool thing is a huge issue me. At that price I probably would never, return.

Lovely hotel, everything was fine with the hotel from the bedroom to the morning breakfast. Apart from having to pay extra on each occasion to use the swimming pool - I could get it If you had to pay a daily pool cost however on each separate occasion on one day - poor show. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the front of the house manager Alex I would certainly return to the Hilton Hotel
