Horrible experience
We did a reservation for 2 nights with 3 rooms. As soon as we walk in the room bathroom there was alot of cockroaches and we look in between the mattress and there were bedbugs. We couldn’t stay and had to find somewhere else to stay. We told the receptionist and they don’t say anything. The bathroom was dirty the walls had blood like stains. I will not recommend booking here.

My experience at this hotel far from satisfactory.
Howard Johnson by Wyndham North Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The property is located in a run-down area that, at one time, was likely nicer and safer. While the affordable rate initially seemed like a good deal, the experience left much to be desired. We arrived on a Monday evening and were greeted front desk person he was kind and professional. I informed him of my ESA (emotional support animal), and he assured me it was fine. However, things quickly went downhill during our three-night stay. On one occasion, someone attempted to break into our room by tampering with the window. They damaged the screen and managed to move the window slightly ajar. We discovered this upon returning from a visit to the GSR and Atlantis resorts. While I managed to secure the window lock myself, this incident was unsettling. Additionally, the behavior of other guests was concerning. Many were openly smoking marijuana, cigarettes, and what appeared to be crack pipes at all hours of the night. Despite my complaints to hotel management, no action was taken to address these issues. The most disappointing part of my stay occurred during checkout. The day manager, a large white woman, was incredibly rude and hostile when I mentioned my ESA. She raised her voice and claimed the hotel does not allow ESAs, even though it had been approved at check-in. She also threatened to withhold my deposit.I do not recommend this hotel.

Never stayed at a Howard Johnson before, will never do it again. Place is a crackhouse. People screaing and banging on walls all night long. You cant even control the tv volume, im assuming that because of the junkys turning it up too loud.

Don’t stay here - it’s terrible
I feel the hotel management has no standards or class. I literally was paying for a place to sleep and when I called the front desk to complain about the noise level I was told they cannot tell anyone to quiet down. They also took my “deposit” right away- which is not a deposit but a charge. The bathroom towel rack was falling down in my bathroom and almost fell on my head.

Drug deals in the parking lot
It wasn't a stay at all. After watching drug deals go down in the parking lot and having to squeeze past a hostile man with a teardrop tattoo and a beer on the walkway just two doors from my room, I checked out not two hours after checking in. The clerk said I would get a refund. I had to call back to get the refund processed and when they processed it, they kept the first night's fee even though I didn't stay there. When I called and talked to the manager, she was rude and told me that I had booked a hotel in downtown Reno as if that made what was going on there acceptable. This hotel is right off the freeway and it's a dump. The room may have been OK - I wasn't looking for three stars - but it's what was going on outside that was a huge problem. The photo shows one of the people who walked up to this car in the parking lot. The car had the same people in it when I left for dinner and when I got back and they were passing things in and out of the window. And this wasn't the only car that had people just sitting in it before and after I went to dinner.
