This is the second time staying at The Lions. Excellent experience in general. The place is very nice, I slept very well, breakfast is good and hosts are very attentive and pleasant.

Amazing Hosts
We had such a wonderful welcome from Pablo and John and the service could not have been better. Great location only a few minutes walk to centre, lovely comfortable room and great breakfast. We would thoroughly recommend this place and will definitely be back if ever in the area.

A wonderful stay
Me and my wife had a wonderful stop over at the Lions. The accommodation is beautiful,with many original features maintained in the decor. The rooms were clean and tidy with lots of charm.John and Pablo were perfect hosts,being kind,welcoming and very helpful.Breakfast was lovely and some nice options on the menu.I had a traditional breakfast,and my wife having scrambled egg and salmon. Both were cooked and presented really well and were delicious! Will be returning in the summer to enjoy the delightful cottage garden in the back in full bloom!

The room was spotless; the bed incredibly comfortable and the full English breakfast was superb. Wonderful little B&B run by John and Pablo. Beautiful room, huge bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and excellent hospitality. Short walk into Newark Town. Remains of the old castle on the river are worth a visit. Lovely river walk.

Pablo and John very friendly and attentive. Beautiful room, warm and cosy, comfortable bed, massive immaculate bathroom with gorgeous stain glass window. Breakfast freshly cooked to order.
