Good convenient Hotel next to Utsunomiya Station
I liked this hotel not because it's new or something extraordinary, but it was just an ordinary hotel that serviced everything I expected and a good free breakfast. The value is really good. Clean room, clean bathroom, all the amenities expected, free water bottles, room size wasn't too small nor big. Just right for a weary tourist looking for a comfortable bed and a clean room plus a breakfast included. It's my kind of hotel.

Great tourist spot near Station
Everything here as suitable and perfect; receptionists were super approachable and had highly respectable customer service ethics and communication. Room was superb, and breakfast was amazing!
The only downside was the local night areas where there are lot of shady business people wondering in the street to attract and invite you to their bars. If you feel like having dinner outside, I’d suggest getting bento lunch box at convenient store; eat a lot in morning was my survival strategy here, but Japanese people are at least polite and respectable, even with those bar staffs.

Good stopping-off point
Good location. Excellent stopover point on Shinkansen for a visit to must-do Nikko (45min on local train). More spacious than some Japanese city hotels. Breakfast was tough for Western appetites if that is important to you.

Overall great!
We got the slightly larger “economy” room and it made all the difference. Very clean and comfortable; the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we didn’t eat it.

Loved the hotels breakfast buffet. They even had gyoza and other Utsunomiya favorites to chose from! The room was also clean and spacious and the bedding was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I had a chance.
