The pub, which the 'hotel' is attached to, was closed for the night (at 6:00pm). No information about how to check in, obtain a key to my room was given. I was lucky that 2 employees of the pub were there (live-ins I guess), in the car park when I arrived, so they eventually managed to get me a key to my room. Otherwise, no idea how I would have got in.
Room itself was awful. Dirty, cramped poor facilities. Shower room (separate) was even worse. Black mould on teh soap tray, paint peeling off everywhere, spiders & webs, really just awful. Worst place i have stayed in for many years, and I travel for business a lot.
Don't recommend this place to anyone. No chance of an evening meal, no chance of breakfast, I would have been better off camping by the canal, it would have been cleaner and more comfortable.
