It’s a small resort, but nicely done. Rooms are clean, new, and water pressure was good for us ladies with lots of hair. Pool is small but clean and nice. Ocean is very rocky, bring water shoes. Two restaurants, 1 buffet and 1 a la carte. Good food. Even though it was blistering hot I had soup daily and loved them. Must try the Pozole. Majority of the guests were Mexican (we visited in August). Staff very welcoming and attentive. BUT: it’s much smaller than you expect. That’s actually not a knock. It’s quaint and cute. But if you expecting it to be like a huge Riu or Barcelo, it’s not. Like I said, small pool. The activities guys is awesome, gets the guests motivated. The nightly entertainment in the small lobby was fantastic (I love salsa dancing, lots of opportunities to dance!). Malecon is a short walk away and worth it- tip: go early in the morning before the vendors arrive and before the heat starts. All in all it was a great trip. Oh, another hint: everyone wanted the buffet for breakfast and so the line was quite long. But the ocean front restaurant is also open and honestly, who wants to eat inside versus on a balcony over looking the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze while you sip coffee and eat your personalized omelette??? Not this chica! Go to the ocean front a la carte restaurant for breakfast!!! You will have a great time. Just be prepared for a small resort, that’s all.
