Good friendly staff, good lobby. The allowed and sanctioned Sheraton staff sell “time shares, investments, free breakfast presentations” isn’t welcomed .
Even as a savvy traveler who is keen on scams , watched videos of the local scams, we exited the taxi from the very secured security gates that required us to confirm reservation before driving in. The bell welcomed us, a lady in hotel uniform with iPad approached and welcomed us and asked for our last name, walked us to the front desk and introduced us to the desk agent.
After the great check in another hotel uniform lady waited us and said “Mr Johnson come over here for your complimentary drinks and resort introduction”.
As she walked us to a desk I saw tour materials and stated “we want to get to the room, are you a tour operator or are you a worker for the Sheraton”. She said she is employed by Sheraton and all she will do provide a hotel map and share where the hotel restaurant and gym places to enjoy .
4 minute of showing us a paper map and sprinkled info “free buffet presentation here” , here is the massage place and it’s $90 USD per person but since you attended the buffet we will give it o you complimentary. Here is a restaurant, their hours, and the new bungalows that will be 50% off your next visit .
Thanks, we will
Not go to the buffet ,, “but when will you go so I can authorize the free massage?” We have plans every day.
Sleazy sales tactics on the sales and marketing for bungalow sales.
