The room was changed last minute to a smaller room adjacent to a main road very noisy and freezing cold. Windows where very drafty and heating woukdnt increase.
I paid more for luxury room and got the worst night sleep iv had for a Long time.

Quirky and charming
A charming escape pad for anyone visiting this wonderful market town. Quirky but tastefully decorated, comfy bed and generous organic breakfast. Loved it

Overall we had a lovely stay. The location cannot be beaten and is just around the corner from the market square. Parking is not so convenient and we did park about 5 minutes walk away and had to pay but it is a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable. We had an issue with the coffee machine which was quickly sorted via text as there are no staff members present on the property. We knew about this before arriving. There was a strange smell which at times could be over powering, like a sewage/ drainy smell. For this reason we would choose a different room to stay in if we visited again. The continental style breakfast is great but I would have liked some savoury content as I found the offer very sweet.

The tea and coffee selection and continental breakfast was high quality. Bit let down by the fact that there were no cups or glasses in room but did manage to grab some cups from an empty room next door. Great location (if you don't mind a bit of street noise).

Great experience despite the lack of staff
Lovely hotel close to the town centre. This was an interesting concept with no reception or kitchen but it actually worked very smoothly. The communication throughout was excellent with easy to follow instructions. The room was great and the breakfast perfectly acceptable.

This hotel is the Mary Poppins of hotels. Practically perfect in every way! Beautifully styled, everything you need in the room. Super comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries. Proper hairdryer not one attached to the wall! Generous continental breakfast left in the room. A great place for a night or two. You let yourself in with a code so you don’t see anyone. However, quick response to messages on the phone.

Great location for Marlborough
We had our room upgraded due to a technical issue with the room we'd booked. Very spacious basement room. Comfortable bed. We loved the continental style in-room breakfast. Such a great idea. Nice to have both a kettle and Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Very convenient location for a Marlborough. We found a place to park for free further up the hill. Lighting very dim in the bathroom. We understand there had been a flood from the bath a few weeks previously, which meant the floor lights had stopped working. Could do with some additional lighting or repair. Friendly housekeeping team.

Read the small print, wherever that is!?
This is not a hotel, it’s a self service room with no staff. My room was very damp, the bathroom has no ventilation or extraction so smelled bad. It was difficult to get the key pad to work and there were no light switches. The electrical supply to the room was switched in via two main switches above the door. The front of the property was very unkempt and unappealing. Breakfast was left in the room. There is no parking. The bed was comfortable but small.
