    Covid escape

This was a great place to escape Covid. The cove was quiet and secluded, just what we needed. Putting the kayaks in was a challenge, but doable at the right time of day. You just have to watch the tides. There are easy access places to paddle at both Friendship and Owl’s Head that are definitely worth checking out. This is a great location for a home base for checking out all the nature preserves, lighthouses and state parks from Waldoboro to Camden. Even after several previous trips to this area of Maine we found some great new treasures nearby. Lots to explore. Just watching the tide change at the cabin was an experience. The house was very clean, all the amenities were accounted for and the colorful, cheerful decor was well done. The windows are the best! Be prepared with dvds as there is no cable or dish. There is WiFi and a smart tv though. Plus, lots of games are available. We played a different one almost every night. Great place, great communication. We would return. Thanks so much Rebecca!

    Best Maine Vacation Ever!

Don't know where to begin. Other reviews have listed all the amenities that make your stay so comfortable, and they're right, everything you need is here, including detailed operating instructions for all appliances and sightseeing suggestions. The very private little cabin is well designed, with a vaulted ceiling and walls of windows in the main living area to give a sense of greater space. We stayed for two weeks in late September and found all housekeeping supplies at hand needed to maintain our comfy surroundings. We put the efficient wood stove to work on many days and found it operated easily and almost too well. It kept the cabin quite toasty and there was plenty of dry wood. The kitchen has everything you need for serious cooking so be sure to take the time to shop where the locals do, not just the supermarkets in Waldoboro and Thomaston, but also Beth's Farm Market for produce, Curtis Meat Mkt. (all locally sourced) and Morse's. We were even able to harvest the last of the herbs in the window boxes on the deck, right outside the kitchen door, and one last tomato in the container out front (thanks, R & J!). Nightly music accompanied our meals thanks to the Bose speaker provided. There's plenty to do and see in mid-coast Maine but also, just a mile or so further down the peninsula, is an enchanting hiking trail in the local preserve. Or just sit back and watch the sunsets from the deck, and try not to disturb the resident Heron, anhingas, Kingfisher and local ducks!

    Beautiful home with gorgeous views

Our stay in this beautiful and modern cabin right on the water was so relaxing… we only wish we had booked a longer stay. We got in just after dark and were welcomed with Maine treats sitting on the coffee table. The home was well appointed with a laundry, full kitchen with dishwasher, heat, and a grill on the deck. So we really didn’t mind staying in all day reading and doing puzzles while Rockland and other lovely towns beckoned us to visit. The best part of the house were the gorgeous views of the sunset over the bay . Thanks for a memorable stay!

    A wonderful relaxing week...

Our stay at Pleasant Point was great! The house was well-designed, spotless and stocked (especially the kitchen) with everything we needed. The internet was strong and allowed both of us to do, or watch, whatever we wanted... and the beds were extremely comfortable. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better, more peaceful vacation. Just a beautiful place! Thank You!

    Amazing waterviews and breathtaking sunsets.

Our first impression was of a cabin meticulously cared for. Rebecca and Jeff have thought of everything! There was an outdoor lobster cooker, first aide supplies, a little cooler for beverages and very nice quality dinnerware, bedding and towels. All the rooms had ceiling fans which kept the temperature comfortable. The king sized bed was so cozy and there was plenty of room for our things in the closet with built in shelves. All the furniture was attractive and comfortable. As the family has children, they knew how to make their cabin safe and fun for kids. There was a chest of toys and a room that housed many board games and childrens dvds and story books. The deck had very secure railings and an impressive latch was on the door of the deck. The deck was very roomy and the view from it and the ceiling to floor windows was amazing. There was a crane or blue heron that came everyday when the tide was out. My husband saw 2 eagles that perched in a tree close to the house. Sometimes the only sounds that were heard were of the many different kinds of seabirds that were landing, taking flight or calling to each other. Several boats were moored in the cove at the cabin and they with the rocky coastline were the perfect Maine scene. There was an accessible small sandy area when the tide was out, the water was so clear and several hermit crabs were seen. Water shoes are a must and I am glad we paid attention to the suggestions of bringing them. A short distance away brought us to every store needed and many restaurants and shops were also available in Rockland which was about 40 minutes away. Our vacation was perfect, restful and we cannot think of any constructive criticism or suggestions for the DeMiceli cabin.
