Learn more about Ogunquit

Wander along Marginal Way, a cliff-hugging path where the Atlantic crashes dramatically against Maine's rocky shore. Ogunquit Beach stretches three miles with sand so soft locals call it 'footsie heaven.' The Ogunquit Playhouse has been staging Broadway-caliber shows since 1933 in a barn-like theater where Paul Newman once performed. Little Beach hides between granite outcroppings, offering solitude when the main beach fills with summer visitors. At Perkins Cove, watch lobstermen unload their catch before dining on seafood so fresh it practically introduces itself. For the best experience, arrive at Footbridge Beach early with coffee from a local café and watch the morning light transform the coastline.

Ogunquit Tides Resort

Ogunquit Tides Resort

8/10 Good
"Lot of positives. Only a few negatives. The location is good. Less than a mile to town and less than a mile to footbridge beach the other direction. Plenty of parking. Large pool. We stayed in the lodge. The room was big and spacious but the bathroom was very small. The only noise was from the loud AC and people walking around in the room above us but that was minor. The room almost seemed like they were in the middle of renovating it. The paint on the walls looked fairly fresh but the moulding looked old and sloppily painted. The shower had good pressure but the bed was too hard for my taste. They had bike and kayak rentals but way too expensive for little time. The kayaks were $15 for an hour and the bikes were $20 for 2 hours. Overall I thought this was a great place and would definitely come back."

10/10 Excellent
"We had a very good experience here last year, which is why we decided to come back. This year, our room was an older accessible suite, and the layout was actually very spacious and convenient for several people.Unfortunately, there was a strong musty/damp smell in the room, possibly mildew ? that was quite noticeable throughout our stay. It was disappointing and unfortunately left us with a less positive impression this time around, especially after such a great experience last year."

"Great location, spacious room (not in the main building) and decent breakfast included, but a few things could be better. No hot water on our last day so could not shower. Hot tub should be renamed warm tub…certainly not hot. No phone in room, no bathrobes and no elevator to 2nd floor in our building (room 604). TV a bit small given the large room."
