Hotel is pretty good, they only have poly fill pillows which are pretty lumpy and thick but the hotel is decent enough for business.

Week In Amsterdam
Visiting our son in Amsterdam. This was the perfect location as he works directly across the street at the International Theatre of Amsterdam. Formerly a Hard Rock property, there are some ongoing redesign projects but they don’t diminish from the hotels appeal. Leidseplein is a great spot to stay. Lively area but not as busy and noisy as the
Central Station and Dam Square locations.
Lots of good dining and entertainment options. Walkable to Vondelpark and the Museum Quarter. Tram stops right outside the entrance. We did however take some time getting into our room having requested an early check in. I understand there is no guarantee so I didn’t mark them down as a result. The front desk gave conflicting information on the availability and then advised that maintenance had an issue with the room. Ultimately moved into the room and had no problems with it throughout the stay.

Such a great hotel in a great location. The restaurant is outstanding! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything feels relatively new. Location is in the theater district and walking distance to the museums. Lots of public transportation options right in front of the hotel.

Amazing Hotel
Wow. This was the first time for us in Amsterdam and wasn’t sure where to stay but we wanted to be close to the museum quarter and Leidesplien, and that’s why we chose this hotel- but let me tell you the next time we go back, I’ll be choosing this hotel not only for the location but for the excellent service from every single person we encountered at the property. And about the property- it is one of the most beautiful buildings right on the canal, with a wonderful bar (they had the best biterrballen in town) and we had morning coffee at the attached restaurant with a great view of the city square. Take a canal cruise which is located across the street from the hotel. I can not recommend this hotel enough

Stayed here often over the years, breakfast as everywhere in the city is expensive but a good selection is offered. Staff and facilities always good. Very convenient location however most things are a reasonable walking distance.

I had such high hopes for this hotel. It was fabulous from the outside and reception was beautiful. They allowed us to check in early which was great. I had ordered a bottle of white wine for the room for my husbands birthday, and paid for it the day before arrival. They tried to charge me again for it on check in.
We booked a deluxe double room but it was anything but deluxe sadly. Tiny room with a balcony, overlooking a nightclub. The carpet had stains on it. There was half a smoked cigarette butt on the table inside the room and the room smelt of smoke. I then went to use the bathroom which was small but really lovely, only to dry my hands on a towel covered in what I assume was make up stains. It had been washed but the stains were all over the towel. We rang straight down to reception to complain and they came straight up with fresh towels and apologies, I asked about another room but they didn’t seem keen to move us.
Friday night (the day we checked in) I was kept awake all night by the nightclub noise across the road. So loud until 3:30am! Given this is probably a regular complaint I’m surprised that guests aren’t offered complimentary ear plugs. I had to go and buy some the next day.
The bed however was extremely comfortable.
On check out they tried to charge me a third time for the bottle of wine I’d already paid for. This just left a bitter taste! So disappointed as the area was perfect but really expected better from this hotel. I doubt we’d stay again.

Spend over 700 dollars. Got a tiny room with obstructed view of metal walkways on the roof. Eff this place
