"For Westerners this was a chance to have a more authentic Japanese-style hotel experience, with a no-shoes-inside policy and great onsen (hot spring baths) and Japanese breakfast. That can be different to get used to but enhanced the experience overall. It was overall a good experience. Room was attractive and clean. Bed placement in a corner wasn't great for a couple where we both need to get out. Great location."

"Our repeat visit -- consistently excellent. The hotel offers excellent black-water natural hot spring in the basement. Although a bit hot (44C or so), it is ideal for dealing with jet lag. Good aircon, quiet, excellent breakfast and wifi and Asakusa is a great area to be based in."

"The staff was nice but the facility is old and moldy everywhere. We couldn’t find any other hotels that were available to we stayed but I don’t think I would stay there again because of how old and moldy it was. "

"Facilities were good.
Room & bathroom were of a reasonable size.... bigger that 3 others we stayed in during our time in Japan.
Downside was the lack of English speaking staff... but Western Tourists are probably not their market.
Ten out of ten for the staff trying to help.
Breakfast was 'very Japanese' & I was frustrated that they would not / could not supply a bowl & milk so I could have breakfast cereal (that I bought at a local Family Mart store. Perhaps I should have I should have...

"This hotel is a clean and comfortable place to stay. Well it has very few extras. It has a surprisingly nice set of services. Most things are taken care of yourself such as vending drinks, and snacks and a laundry room. Cleaning service is every third day but each night the staff puts clean towels and a clean robe in a bag outside your door and you only have to put your used ones in the same bag for them to exchange. The really nice feature are the Japanese baths and

included is really good. Staff is super helpful and assisted me on delivering my bag with Yamato service to the next city on my trip. Would stay here again for sure. "

"Tokyo isn't an exotic location but the room and staff at Bellustar make you feel like you're in your own little bubble. The rooms are fab, the staff are some of the most helpful and attentive I've ever encountered, couldn't recommend more.

as well, beyond excellent, both facilities and treatments. One point for improvement - coffee and breakfast at the hotel aren't wow, but everything else really is. "

"Overall a fine place to stay. Not the highest quality sleeping pod I’ve used, but you get what you pay for. You do have to leave the hotel from 10am to 2pm every day for the staff to perform cleaning of the entire hotel. Luggage can stay in lockers, but all guests have to leave. So be aware of that.
