Amazing people and service! Thanks very much. At night the area seems a bit concerning due to a number of people who are hanging out due to mental health issues or homelessness. Just something to be aware of. I would stay here again.

We spent one night at the Le Germaine hotel, and overall it was a great stay. One night isn’t long enough to truly enjoy the amenities of this boutique hotel but we did appreciate the spaciousness of the room, the decor and the modern feel of the hotel. The shower in our bathroom didn’t function properly And we had issues when we checked in with the valet parking. To the hotel’s credit the person who checked us in tried his best to fix the situation. There was no one able to valet park our car. My husband had to sell park given the number of people checking in the same time. The hotel is next to the Byward market. As many people know in Ottawa, unfortunately there is an ever increasing problem with homeless and drug addict population in this area. There is some sort of shelter across the street from this hotel, which seems to distract from the overall sense of safety around this hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel just be aware of the area.
