THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. STAY AWAY.
It is an AirBnB like. There is no staff on site. There is no reception, but also no room service, no coffee machine in the rooms, a tiny common area, not true breakfast area, etc... This should not be advertised as a hotel. It would not even get a single star from any of the accreditation group in the UK. For this money, you can get much better somewhere else.

Poor 2.0
Terrible
Do not ever book room 7 as there is a 24 hour gaming place underneath & a cab office, so no sleep. Electric went off for 2 hours & then at 2.15am emergency light came on till 6am. Don’t go there

Quirky hotel, central to Oxford. Some nice touches.

Highly recommend
Great location, very convenient - walking distance to most attractions. Loved the tea room, provided independence. Only negative was the lack of parking - I was pulled up by an individual from a close by establishment while unpacking our luggage!

Comfortable and cozy hotel with style. Very nice lounge area overlooking the streets. Location is very convenient, right next to City center. Only downside is that the rooms were a bit small and there stairways leading up to the rooms are also very narrow.

OK
Hi, The room was nice, but the lack of any person the whole time you're there (everything is automated or done via codes) is quite unusual. We couldn't ask anything like recommendations etc without phoning a number etc which could be difficult if you didn't have access to a UK phone (there wasn't one in the room). The refreshment room is nice but for the price (200/night) we'd have expected a slightly better breakfast than some bread and cheese or nutella. Location is great but would prefer to stay somewhere with staff you can talk to.

I really.enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed.it more as time went by. On the stairs in the entrance the bannister rail was not long enough and Ifell up the last step. I learned fast and it didn’t happen twice but others may. need to be aware

Not great value for money
We booked two rooms, executive doubles. The hotel does not have a reception and all the time there we did not see a single member of staff. You are sent codes for the doors by email. The pros are that the hotel has a really convenient location and the lounge with tea / coffee etc was nice to sit in. There were also items for breakfast (bread to toast, pastries, cheese, cereals) despite no breakfast being advertised. The cons are that the hotel is not particularly well maintained. In one of our rooms a number of lights were not working and there was accumulated dust in some places (behind the TV, on top of the shower head). In addition one of the rooms didn't have a window, only a skylight, which made it feel very claustrophobic - not what one would expect having paid so much. Finally, one of the rooms had an adjoining wall with the next door pub and there was live music until gone 11pm which was quite audible in the room and put pay to sleep.

It’s a little quirky.
If you like quirky this is for you. Great location in the centre of Oxford walking distance from some great shopping, restaurants and local attractions. The quirkiness comes from the hotel has no staff present when you arrive, you are provided by email access numbers to 2 door keypads, the main entrance and your room. There’s a well stocked communal lounge with soft drinks, tea/coffee and nibbles but these are noted not to be taken to your room. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room so this was a little disappointing. All in all it was a great stay, great location, clean room and well appointed with a cosy bed though the room was quite compact it was good for a one night stay.

A pleasant stay in central Oxford .
Very satisfactory.Continental style breakfast served in a comfortable little lounge area. Room comfortable , if a little small but it has to conform to a well preserved listed building. Our only significant reservation was the air conditioning that seemed to be set at a slightly inadequate level , given that it was a fairly warm pair of late Summer nights..Otherwise it lives up to the boutique label.
