Large central hotel just off Russel Square, modern square rooms, offering large double / kingsize beds and ensuite with walk-in shower, clean and tidy mid morning check-out, opperating across 6 floors, with large underground car park, resonably priced for London but within "Congestion" zone area (drivers be warned). Easy access to central London via underground, two minute walk from the lobby, directly on the Picadilly line. The rooms could have been deep cleaned (bit of dust), but they were ok. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They even got a chair when mum (she has a still walking stick)was waiting 5mins for a taxi. Nice big shower.

Checking in took quite some time - while it was busy the lines also moved slowly - probably needed more desks open particularly around 2pm. Breakfast provides decent food but very busy and there were queues both mornings to get a table, staff do a good job turning the table over. The staff stood out. They were so helpful and friendly. Our room was clean the beverages were stocked up for our two nights stay. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative aspect was the long line of people waiting to store their bags. gave up and stored them elsewhere at a cost. However the hotel is huge and really busy so this is not a criticism of the hotel. We would definitely recommend staying there. We are going to go back.

Staff is fantastic here. Omar at front desk was great EVERYTIME I saw him he was helpful or said hello. 2000 people must come through here a week so I was impressed. It’s an olde hotel but does the job and I was impressed by the machine that handles it from the front desk to the cleaning staff. So are are outgoing and helpful and senate quite and doing there job and I appreciate it all

The room itself was clean and seemed well enough maintained. It was a spacious room as well. My only complaint was that it was quite stuffy and without air conditioning it got very warm at night. The location was very convenient and the price for the night was reasonable.
