Dated facilities, good service and helpful staff
Location is good. Hotel is abit old .. could do well with a thorough cleansing of the carpet (it feels sticky, fine for guys that doesn't take off shoes in the hotel room but not comfortable otherwise). The room doesnt have much places you can hang stuffs.. so if we do some laundry then the semi dried clothes have to go on the bed or something.. but the cleaning lady was helpful and on her own initiative provided us with stacks of those laundry shop hangers which proved useful.

This place is a hidden gem. Newly renovated so everything looked new. Rock solid mattress with soft pillows. Clean rooms with those bidet toilet seats. I love them! Main breakfast menu changes every day and I got lucky I was able to eat unlimited chicken nuggets at one point. Location is conveniently close to the orange and red line MRT. There's a mini night market outside too. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Taipei!

Hotel although is located at Sanchong district, however is only a bridge away to Ximending. We have spent our hassle free 3 nights there. For a budget hotel, it consider quite good and there are few shops along the street particularly my folks like to have super at the nearby 永和豆浆

The room is spacious but the cleaning should have been better. The noise from the air conditioning was kind of annoying. Breakfast selections were limited. However, I had a great experience with this hotel.

Good Value with Caveats
Positives: 1. Great location. MRT just a few minutes away. 2. Friendly staff. Check in was quick and the rooms were cleaned daily after we left. 3. Two bottles of water provided every day along with instant coffee and tea bags. 4. Bathroom is fantastic. Seems recently remodeled and every room has a bathtub, separate shower, and electronic bidet/toilet. Cons: 1. The building is old. There is a musty smell in the hallways and there is mold in the vents. Instead of using AC, I left the window open for circulation. This seemed to alleviate the smell of mold for the most part. Overall a good value considering the price. Not sure I could stay there in the summertime without the use of AC though. Also because I went out for a traditional Taiwanese breakfast every day, I'm unsure of the quality of the product hotel breakfast.

Stay in Good Life hotel for one night and overall pretty good and clean little local hotel. The building is located on the very convience area, which had everything you need. A local small night market had every delious Taiwanese style street food you can have. 5 to 8 mins walk to the subway station. The hotel outside look small and old but the room looks pretty new and clean, very bright as well. I believe they did renovate the room recently. Staffs are all really nice and helpful. The hotel included the buffet breakfast in the morning, not many choices but I don't really care because there so many food choice nearby the hotel. I would stay in this hotel next time and would recommand others to stay too.

Home away from home
We were glad to be in this hotel during our short vacation in Taipei. The food market nearby was great, and the hotel was walking distance to a lot of cafes and quaint, cozy restaurants and grocery stores where we bought Taiwan delicacies at very reasonable prices than the ones at the famous night markets. We shall definitely go back to this hotel again.

Pretty decent hotel with an affordable price
A friend and I stayed at this hotel in Taipei for our trip for 2 weeks. Overall the hotel was pleasant, staff were friendly and overall it was pretty good for the price we paid. Things are close by since it’s near a subway station (very easy maneuvering around Taiwan since the transportation system is superb). They have a washing machine and dry as well, but I would say that you have to wait a fair bit of time for the laundry to dry since the dry isn’t very good some prepared to use it only when necessary. They have good wifi and their breakfast selection is only okay. My friend was a vegetarian and while they do have a fair selection, the food is only subpar. For something that’s included you can’t complain (but when you’re in Taiwan where delicious food is abundant, there’s no shortage if you don’t find the hotel breakfast to your taste). The hotel room itself was decent. They have room cleaning very often which is nice. The only complaint I have is that they seemed to have these tiny little bugs on the tabletops in the room and in the sink area. They were about the size of a period dot and it seemed they were always present no matter if the room was cleaned. I’m not entirely sure what they were since they were a bit microscopic. That would be the only complaint I had about the stay. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s decent for the price, if you’re looking for something that’s just simple and cheap for just sleeping then this is it.

Enjoyable stay and must visit hotel
It was a good stay at Good Life Hotel. The concierge is very informative and willing to advise on how to travel to the various tourist attractions via public transport. Room is of a good size with bathtub and a hi-tech toilet bowl. Room was cleaned and toiletries replenish daily. The hotel is in a good location which takes about 5 mins' walk to the train station. There is a night market right downstairs which serves good and cheap food.
