We only stayed one night but we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the excellent food and the evening entertainment. The bedrooms are looking a little tired but were overall clean and comfortable.

Very friendly staff. It is a pub so noisy 'till about 23pm. Car park safe and shops close by, 2min walk.

Okay for a night
Without sugar coating it, it was a filthy room, staff were great, food was nice, but the room looked nothing like the pictures online! Mouldy bathroom, and i was above the woman's toilets so i constantly heard the hand dryer going up until midnight.

Donington Park visit
Good accommodation for a trip to Donington Park. Nice small hotel with very friendly staff and great service. Only let down was quite limited parking.
Gareth, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

The hotel has a very loud karaoke on the night we stayed. The room was shaking from the noise vibrations. Water was too hot and the room smelled of the bathroom throughout

8/10 Very good

All in all a good stay, staff were the best thing. Very friendly and helpful. Food in evening also good. Room was comfortable on whole, but my only criticism would be the bathroom was dated and felt cramped due to old fashioned style bath/shower. In any case, I would stay again if in area on work.

One night stay
Just a emergency one night stay , too exspensive for a midweek stay

Very disappointing. Little sleep.
Room was very small. Just wide enough for the double bed. Not enough room for a real door on the bathroom, just a sliding panel with no handle. Pillow had a plastic liner of some sort, so i awoke at 4am with damp hair and didnt go back to sleep. At 6am wafts if smoke started to come in the room from people smoking outside. Shower good. Breakfast good. Car parking spaces not wide enough for my car.

Great staff and bar area.

Ok, just tired
Not a bad hotel, just a very tired room. The room was above the beer garden so if I opened the window smoke came in and pointless loud talking from an old fella.
Phillip, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I cancelled the booking on Thursday. Apparently they still intend to charge me full price despite me giving nearly 3 days notice let alone 24 hours. I wouldn’t use them again ever. And I have used them many times before.

Overall, good value for money. Small but comfortable, recently refurbished room. Staff very pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. Only small negative was the boisterous patrons who were still going strong (and loud) in the early hours, but no big deal.

No air con , couldn’t sit on the toilet because sink was in the way. Not clean , room was boiling

6/10 Good

Rooms look a little tired, quite small and compact, if I wasn't on my own and there were 2 of us it would have been a struggle - space wise
Stuart, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Can be noisy but otherwise good
The room is above a pub so initial part of night was quite noisy Also you can hear footsteps in corridor and adjoining room The window in the room was also slightly open despite my best effort Otherwise clean and good place to stay

A lovely stay
I needed a room overnight while attending an event nearby, and this hotel popped up. The hotel consists of rooms above a pub. While not ultra-modern, the place was clean and welcoming. Check in was seamless, and I was walked to my room. The room itself was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy, towels fluffy and the shower was warm. I skipped breakfast, I had somewhere I needed to be, but it looked and smelled good, much better than other hotels I've stayed at lately. I would absolutely recommend staying for a night or two, but not sure how I'd fare over a longer stay.

6/10 Good

aphazard parking by others made parking difficult on arrival. Maybe car park lines need to be redone? Interesting that it’s called the Lawns when there wasn’t a lawn? Wasn’t clear where to go to book in, but was ushered inside by helpful person having a drink outside. Was shown quickly to my room by helpful member of staff. Room was clean and tidy and looked recently refurbished. Nice modern shower room. New hard flooring looked nice but needed attention to detail (gaps between planks). Carpet was worn and had threads pulled from it. Bed looked welcoming, but when I sat on it, it was rock hard and the edges of the mattress were higher than the centre. Maybe could benefit from a new mattress? Lots of pillow choice, however, one of the pillow cases I had a tear in it. Door to shower room kept half closing, so I walked into it a few times as I went into the room and turned round to come out again. The shower cubicle was spacious and clean. New wiring in the wardrobe on view. When I returned in the evening (Saturday night, 10.15) music was playing to guests outside the pub, which finished before midnight. My room was on the back of the building, but it could be heard. Continental breakfast was cereal, toast and jam/marmalade/marmite, a croissant and a pain au chocolate, orange or apple juice and a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast took place in the bar, maybe because of renovations? Staff friendly and welcoming.
