Despite having a written confirmation from the hotel that I would be picked up from the airport, they did not even bother to contact their service provider for that. When I landed, I did not find any of the persons they had said would be waiting for me, I ended up waiting for more than eight hours because by the time I realized they had not sent anybody, all the boats had left. Six hours after I arrived they tried to place a call to see if I was collected, at which point I asked them not to call anymore because at that time it was just pointless. After I took the boat, I was put in the very old car for the hotel. I could even smell the fuel from inside the car. DO NOT BOOK your transfer with Radisson, once you get at the airport the same people they use are 10 meters from the terminal and can do the same service at a cheaper price, plus you will not have to wait any hypothetic coach. Regarding the hotel , the location is good and the staff is most of the time helpful but the carpet was really dirty. Even the carpet in the hall is cleaner than the one in the room I was given. I do not know if that is the case for all their room, but please stand your grounds and ask to change rooms if you fall in the same trap as I did. I did not request to change room because I wanted to avoid the hussle associated with it.

A catalogue of unsatisfactory experiences.Good check-in. Was willingly given a 3pm check-out. Extremely poor service at dinner (which was in the bar, due to the restaurant being booked for a Chamber of Commerce annual dinner)...possibly the worst service I've ever had in a hotel anywhere.Room was fine, but only 1 bath towel, bath mat, but no hand towel. Along with other guests, had to get my room key reprogrammed that evening. No apology offered. Cable TV would simply stop working for several minutes at a time. Next day, breakfast was ok, but the hibiscus juice was "off". I was pestered to leave the room after 12 noon, even though I had a 3pm check-out. Between 12 noon and 2.30pm I had two knocks on the door, and two phone calls to ask when I'd be leaving the room. As you can imagine, with that catalogue of annoyances, I left disappointed. I have stayed in many Radisson Blu hotels in Africa, and always had first-rate this hotel for whatever reason is sadly lacking.

Staff were welcoming and pleasant. The hotel facitilites were good though I found the rooms rather small. The rooms are well maintained and the housekeeping staff were very good and professional.

Exceptional 10.0
I would strongly recommend the hotel. The staff were professional and friendly and the facilities were all up to expectations. The hotel appears a little bit dated on the outside - however it has an interesting history - being the location where the cessation of hostilities was signed 16 years ago at the end of the civil war. Whilst the hotel is dated on the outside, inside it is very modern and in a good state of repair. There is a back door which leads straight onto Lumley Beach. However I would recommend visiting other beaches further down the peninsula as Lumley Beach, whilst beautiful, can be a little dirty in places. Overall my stay at the Mammy Yoko was a very positive experience and I would recommend.
