Decent enough place to stay. Showing it's age in places but overall clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Easy to check in, and I set off early the following morning - leaving the keys in the box in the hallway. Very convenient for the town centre and seafront if you don't mind a few minutes walk. Variety of restaurants nearby, even before you reach the town centre.

Handy for all attractions in Scarborough
We had a great overnight stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and very clean, with a fantastic view over the North Bay. It is in a very handy position for both bays and also Peasholm park or the Open Air Theatre. It’s only a short walk to the town centre and station. Handy parking outside and a very easy check in process. We will certainly book again next time we come to Scarborough. We saw a wonderful sunrise from the bedroom window and got some great pics😊

Check in and parking was easy. The property was very clean. The old sash window rattled when open so I had to shut it which made the room warm.

We loved it here, room had a gorgeous view and the family room wa spacious. Bunk bed was a bit creakky (but our kids were probably too big for them really.) Fab locations for the northbay side where there is lots to do. Breakfast was AMAZING!

I had only spent one night in this property on a one-day trip to Scarborough. I was disappointed that my single room was facing the street rather then the North Sea; my private bathroom was also separate from my room, which was a bit inconvenient - but it had an excellent beach view. I struggled a bit with door lock too. However I had a sink in my room, I had access to an electric kettle, cups, coffee/tea/bottled water and towels/soap (no toiletries though) and it was pleasantly quiet in the building. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, with more conveniences I had opportunity to use. I appreciated really hot radiator in the evening after a long walk battling chilly wind and intermittent rain. Check-in was quite smooth and communication was relevant. The area is attractive to walk about if weather permits, there is even a small cinema and a pub within short walking distance. It was fascinating to contemplate this seaside town only just waking up from a winter hibernation. Despite challenging weather, I had pleasant time, especially in the Scarborough castle and beach areas. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this property and I would recommend it for a short, no frills stay, even out of season.

Everything was amazing, the breakfast was beautiful and there wasnt a brand of tea and coffee not available. The lady in charge was so so kind, there was a mix up with our reservation (my fault) however she was so understanding and our stay went ahead. Plenty of outdorr seating area front and back, all clean and tidy. Inside was spotless, cosy and welcoming. Ill definitely be coming back, it was away from the hustle and bustle but a glorious view of the sea. 10/10.

The Kenton is right on the sea front (the back of the property with the customer car park on North Marine Road). Fantastic view from the rear, overlooking the coastline, waves crashing in, the headland and castle ruins off to the right. It was early evening and quite windy when I arrived. It’s easy to find, the signage stands out. There’s space for a few cars and parking is free to customers. On street parking around Scarborough is free only after 6pm. There’s a few steps up to the back door and the front door is on street level on Queens Parade. The corridor, reception room with bar and dining room were all warm, welcoming and clean. Quite a homely feel to the place. I was welcomed by one of the staff who checked me in. She was really friendly, helpful and polite. I briefly went up to my room as I was on my way to the SJTheatre in town to see a show and didn’t want to be late. I had room no.1 on the 1st floor, it was small but just right for 1 person, high ceiling, nicely decorated, warm and cosy. With a double bed, washbasin, mini fridge, wall mounted TV and tea & coffee facilities. Towels were provided also. I had a private bathroom (toilet and shower) just round the corner from my room next to rooms 2 & 3. Clean & tidy. I didn’t get the opportunity to stay overnight as I had an offer of work the next day, so decided to drive back. I can’t comment on the bed or how peaceful it is on a Friday night, but I didn’t see any pubs or clubs in the immediate area. I’d book again.
