A Welcome Break
Very relaxing, obviously out of season but plenty staff available. Great accommodation looking over gardens and across lake windermere. Spa was available and a nice sized swimming pool, jacuzzi & sauna's. Limited menu, but still a good choice and variety.

Overall lovely hotel
We have visited The Lakeside Hotel a few times now - last year we did the murder mystery event which was good and great value for money with evening meal, overnight stay and breakfast included so I would recommend. Most recent stay 22nd Feb 2 nights as a family and our friends family from Sweden - overall great hotel and the kids loved it. The only down side I would say is some (not all) of the restaurant/bar staff are laxidazy when it came to taking orders a few of our orders for breakfast over the weekend was brought wrong even the second and third attempt they got wrong which was frustrating. But apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent stay. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Food was a good standard and the highlight was the swimming pool. Room was clean with a great bathroom, also nice welcome pack for kids. Shame it was only one night!

Great welcome at check-in and staff were incredibly helpful and courteous throughout. We ate from the restaurant and bistro menus which were both excellent. Good choice of breakfast and great quality all served to the table, so no queuing for luke warm tea from a machine, or making our own toast. Great pool. Free parking was a bonus. It would have been an excellent rating overall except our room was in need of a refurb (although very clean still) and we could only get the radiator to be fully on or fully off.

I booked two nights for my girlfriend birthday and we had a lovely time, she had been to Windermere before but her stay made this time her best, the spa had everything we needed and the conservatory area faccina the lake was mesmerising. It also came with breakfast included which provided top quality ingredients, the room was as described and allowed us to rest peacefully. I would really go back again !
