A needed break.
All members of staff from reception to service in the dining room were very friendly and good at their job. The meals and service in the dining room were excellent! The hotel has wonderful Victorian features and charactor. Location of this hotel is especially good for access to the cliff funicular giving easy access to the promenade.

Hotel is very tired and in poor condition. Mould on bathroom ceiling and food not great albeit is designed for retired residents. The most annoying thing is I booked this hotel as it advertised car parking, it doesn’t, car parking is down the road (if available) at a charge of £8 per day. Hotels should not say they have car parking if they don’t. I have to carry work equipment in my car and don’t want to leave it parked on the side of a public road.

The room was freezing cold and we asked three times for a heater and we were told on each occasion that one would be sent to the room but one never appeared.The bar staff were always doing something else when you wanted service.Will never stay there again.
