Stayed for multiple days and was hoping for the 5* service we had received on our previous trip. This time round we did not receive this and were disappointed. It's a shame as we paid more to stay here rather than the Taj, which I think we might be staying at for future trips.
Issues we had:
Room - remote control not working, bathroom door/lock troublesome, smallish room not female-friendly, in room dining was not always great (cold/not up to standard)
Breakfast - staff attentiveness not there, had to ask multiple times for tea/coffee, had to wait too long to order a la carte, poor spread of meat/fish options for breakfast, would have liked to see more varieties of fruit, juice options and live counters were good
Valet - inconsistent, sometimes open door, sometimes not, generally ok
FOH greeting - inconsistent, not always greeted
Points - misleading information and updating of points. Was told that my points would be added but have still not been added. Had to ask twice already for this and was assured on check out but still not showing.
Generally, considering the amount we spent on this stay, we are disappointed. The standard of service has slipped and we will be rethinking staying here for future trips despite it's good location for our needs.
