6/10 Good

Not impressed - good service, okay food, old rooms
Definitely not what I expected. We were looking for a easy all-inclusive with good food for an extended family trip. I was a little worried about it being so close to the airport, and I'm glad to report that you don't really notice the close-jets - maybe one or 2 each day, but it's not irritating.
Their service is incredible (responsive to request and very accommodating), but the actual product is not worth the cost.
The room was out-dated and had an old stale smoke smell to it. The food was really hit-or-miss. They have 2 food locations. The one near the front desk and in the main building had way better food - tender and tasty meat, fresh veggies. But it lacked variety from other resorts we've been to (such as Riu resorts.) The food at the oceanfront outdoor location was awful. Like - really bad (except for breakfast). Fish and shrimp tasted old and fishy. They had weird toppings not listed on the menu that made the meats taste worse than if they just used basic salt and pepper.
Overall I was just underwhelmed. The staff appeared really tired and not really into their positions, either. Finally - the evening entertainment was a bit stale. They had nightly entertainment at around 9pm each night. The performances were good, but the location up at the front area just felt very stale.
Finally - the coffee - blah. So bad. It's like food-service quality!
