Fabulous hotel
A truly lovely stay at the Torel Palace. A beautiful building, large, spacious rooms which were very clean and the service was faultless. Little touches like turndown service, we got champagne and delicious sweets on arrival and again on our last night. The breakfast was really good, a good selection of hot and cold dishes. Great location, very central to everything.

I loved staying here! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They gave us restaurant recommendations, set up a Tuk Tuk tour of the city, and set up transportation and a visit to a wine tasting in Douro valley. The hotel was comfortable, clean, pretty, and nice. The spa was cute and I had a nice massage. The little library for meals was also great. We didn’t get to swim in the pool but it looked lovely. The location was central to many things but it was further up the hill and tucked away compared to the river side where it seemed was all the energy and crowds.

Beautiful hotel that blends old and new. Gorgeous decor. Thoughtful staff. Comfortable and impressive rooms. Many amenities. Honestly one of the best stays I have had in Europe; we had a family suite, which allowed us to partition space and give everyone privacy in what felt like very opulent yet comfortable surroundings. The check in procedure was very good. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful hotel in easy walking distance of everything. There are some nice little touches like a turn down service. Our only negative was we felt the bathroom was not very functional in terms of counter space.
