birthday celebration
Stay was for a birthday party at the village hall for a family member who lives in Bridgenorth. Rooms were comfortable if a little quaint reflecting the age of the property. Breakfast was served in the more modern glass conservatory. Staff were helpful polite and friendly.

Hotel facilities are looking very tired, carpets really need replacing, decor hasn’t really been touched since the 1990s, rooms initially had a musty smell so we opened the windows to let some fresh air in. Breakfast was well prepared this morning, which was the best part of the stay. All in all, we did feel that it was certainly an overpriced stayed for what was provided.

Lovely place and location
Lovely place to stay for a local wedding, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Would highly recommend.

The twin room was on the small side. The en-suite was basic but clean. Saw cobwebs on the window. The tea tasted awful in our room on the first morning so the milk must have been off. It was okay the next morning. This room was probably not used very often.

Great food, poor bedroom
Food was very nice although came with a service charge for dinner. The bed was very comfortable, slept really well. The room however, was dated and in need updating. There seemed to be a lot of ladybirds in the bedroom and eating area. A lot of hair in the bath plug and bathroom floor, the toilet in the bedroom didn’t flush and the shower head was broken. A bit disappointing considering the price

Little Gem
As soon as we arrived we were blown away with the loation as the view from the patio area is real shropshire countryside. Staff were extremely friendly and we felt relaxed and made to feel very welcome . Our room was spcipus cean and comfortable. The food is beyond average and is 5 star quality with service to match. If we ad found this place earlier we would have stayed longer.

The Hotel is in a very nice location: a small village surrounded by a beautiful countryside. The property is maintained in a very high standard. The room that we have been given was large and it has a lovely old feeling but spoiled by a strange choice of modern ceiling lights and bedside lamps - what a shame . Bed wasn’t the most comfortable one in the world but it will do if you were so tired and in need of a sleep .The bathroom , although it was large, it looked tired and dated- a bit disappointing. The guy who checked us in was very pleasant and polite. The lady however, not sure whether she was the owner or mangers, who checked us out was too over official. She didn’t across as a welcoming person. She asked me before we left whether everything was ok? Again, she didn’t across to me she was really interested in the answer as she was busy doing something whilst she asked the question. I always believe that when you ask your guests this sort of question you need show sincerity, otherwise it will be counterproductive. The breakfast has lacked the feeling of hospitality and generosity - too mean. Overall the stay was ok but the management needs to work on the warm and genuine welcome to their guests
