Mission Concepcion highlights
When you visit Mission Concepcion, you'll notice its design and exterior before anything else. It is the oldest stone church in America that has been completely unrestored since its creation. Because of that, you won't be able to see the geometric designs that used to cover its surface, but several of the interior rooms still have frescos.
One of the more interesting aspects of this historical site is its precise solar alignment. The western entrance will line up perfectly around August 15th every year to create a double solar illumination event around sunset.
