Our stay exceeded expectations. It helped that the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included and options were relatively tasty. Location is great as most places are within walkable distance. I’ll strongly consider staying here again when I visit the area.

My do and I were greeted with such friendliness! My room was beautiful. Location was only a block off the malecon and Los Altos beach with several restaurant options there, as well as the Macaw restaurant at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was also great. Be aware, though, there is no parking provided. Only on the street. But still....Highly recommend!!

The free shuttle to the airport is a definite plus. Check in and service was excellent. Breakfast was a bit expensive.

Small beautiful older converted home- 6 rooms very nicely furnished. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Delicious full free breakfast. Located 1 block from beach in El Centro- walking distance to galleries, restaurants, market etc. My daughter and I were there for 5 nights- we just loved it.

rustic property, friendly staff willing to give advise on places and restaurants to go to. close to restaurants, shops, historic buildings and the malecon which is where everyone goes to day and night. The only complain I would have is that at our visit there was construction going on next door which was noisy during the day.

Had a great 11 night stay at Casa de Leyendas. Fantastic location, right beside the Malacon, and within easy walking distance of many fine restaurants. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The morning breakfast was tasty and non stop coffee (till 11 am) was appreciated. Macaws, the restaurant/bar which is part of Casa de Leyendas, is a great place to stop for a rest and a bite to eat, especially on evenings when they have live music.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Matzatlan, across the street from the beach, within walking distance of the plaza, restaurants and shops. Service and staff are great. The cafe downstairs offers good food, especially fried chicken and spicy chicken wings when you want something different from Mexican cuisine. Only issue is that it can be noisy on weekend nights with loud music and parties. Still, I would stay here again. The hotel is well decorated and well run.

I love this place. If I come back to Mazatlan, I'll definitely stay here. Great band, El Guitartista, is there on monday nights right now. Cool little bar downstairs. There's free breakfast, but I took the coupon to the bar for a discount on better menu. Please leave a tip for the kitchen staff in the little coffee area by the pool. Alfredo was kind enough to lend me money to go get my money transfer. When that didn't work, he lent me more money to do it again. He later drove us in his own car to get fishing tackle from his neighbor, who happened to sell it. I practically had to twist his arm to take a little money for that. Please don't abuse the staff's time like we did. They are very nice and have better things to do than babysit me... But I digress. Great location, people, hotel, bar, everything. Love this place. Gracias, Amigos

This is a lovely bed & breakfast that is located 1/2 block from the beach in the Centro Historico district of Mazatlan. The property is formerly a doctor's home/clinic that was converted into lodging. In character with the large Mexican casas, there is a center courtyard surrounded by the individual rooms. Each colorful room is uniquely decorated and there are several common areas (both inside and outside) for guests to relax and get the true hacienda experience. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the decor... beyond the beautiful ceramic tile, the metal scrollwork, and the marble staircase, the place is adorned with colorful art on the walls, painted talavera accessories and beautiful plants. Staff is very attentive and we felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. The facility is clean and safe (the front gate is locked at night; only guests have keys). Breakfast was included with our room and is served on the central patio. Breakfast included coffee/tea, seasonal fruit, and a choice from the breakfast menu. The restaurant adjoining the hotel prepares the food. The hotel is located on one of the narrow cobblestone streets characteristic of old Historic Mazatlan; there is a small public plaza directly across the street plus 2 museums a few steps away. You feel like you are in a quaint neighborhood, not in a touristy area. However you are in walking distance of all that Centro Historico has to offer. Would definitey recommend Casa de Leyendas.
