Reasonable property
The property is not fancy and has no luxury, but is funcional (very conveniently located and offers what is needed for a comfortable stay). The hotel fits those who intend to spend most of the days in outside activities and have a good place to rest at night. It’s good value for money considering its price. Do not expect restaurants or room service. My only complaint is with the showers (little water and hard to find the right temperature).

Really great staff made the visit worthwhile!
We ended up staying here during a rare non-sunny weekend. Some of it had to do with Kilauea's VOG, but we really enjoyed the somewhat cooler weather because that allowed us to have full run of the pool! The place is very close to 3 ABC stores along with really great food. The front desk person even microwaved my store bought food for us while we parked!

Dont expect 4 star stay here, this is a what you pay is what you get hotel. Everything is at request, microwave, kettle, room cleaning, etc. If you want fancy King Kamehameha is just around the corner. Everything was clean and tidy, no complaints, would definitely recommend if you want to save, it’s close to everything.

Underwhelming renovations
Very basic accommodation, small room. Noisy window unit A/C which was behind the curtain. Had to either stay cool or close the curtain. Couldn’t do both. There were no full size towels in the room, which I didn’t notice until I was in the shower. Older fiberglass tub and enclosure, low water pressure. Power to TV cut out intermittently. Bed was pretty comfortable. Obviously an attempt to modernize this budget hotel, but falls short in many areas. Almost no amenities besides the outside pool.

Wonderful staff. Updated lobby, patio, pool area. Great location. Free parking around the corner. Enjoyed having a balcony. Only complaint is they could update their flooring and towels. Beds were comfortable.
