6/10 Good

Read Carefully:
Overall, my stay was good, but there are a few things to know before booking:
- The hotel is located in an eco-friendly national park, and there’s a Mexican Military checkpoint where guards will search for plastic, food, or drinks, including water which are not allowed per city policy.
- After 5 PM, you’ll need your reservation and ID in hand to pass through.
- Additionally, the beach closes after dark, and guards will politely ask you to return to the hotel. You are not allowed to walk around the beach at dark. You could tho, stay at the hotel waterfront beach club/ beach bar area.
- The military officers were generally courteous and respectful.
- A highlight is that the hotel is within walking distance of the national ruins, which was very convenient.
- Although it’s relatively close to downtown, you’ll need a car or motorcycle to reach move around.
- If you’re looking for a party scene, this may not be the best choice. While the hotels in this area have bars and restaurants, the nightlife is more vibrant about a 10-minute drive south, which isn't walkable. Yet, you must have CASH to enter the ruins area.
- The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience.
- The rooms are somewhat dated but functional. Everything, including the AC and tap water, worked well enough.
