Don’t bother
This was supposed to be a pre-Xmas family treat; but turned out to be a huge disappointment from start to finish. We had a mixture of great and downright rude staff, a tiny poky room that was so dark & dim it felt a bit like a cell, and ended up calling it a day & checking out early. If you only need somewhere convenient to sleep near the station then stay here, if you want any degree of luxury then stay elsewhere.

Lovely hotel but poor nights sleep
Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. However our room was located on the bottom floor of the hotel so felt very separate. The air con unit in our room made the most annoying buzzing sound all night which kept us up most of the night. Bed was not the comfiest, being 6 months pregnant not much is comfy at the moment but this particular was not! It may be worth the hotel investing in some better quality pillows. Can’t fault the check in staff they were very lovely and polite - I feel like we were unlucky with our basement like room!!

Hotel Milner in York ✨
Hotel Milner was perfect for a pre-Christmas break to explore York. Most of the staff were very friendly, our room in the main hotel was charming and breakfast was delicious. The mattress in our room was a little hard but that’s just a personal preference Tastefully decorated for Christmas without being garish or OTT Ideally situated for rail travel as there’s a side door right into the station! Would recommend ✨
