Market Street Hotel was a wonderful home base for our stay in Edinburgh. We had a "roomy room," with plenty of space to move around. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and they had thick window shutters to keep it quiet in a busy part of town, which we appreciated. All mini bar offerings were included in our rate. It is conveniently located across the street from Waverly train station. Would highly recommend!

Stayed for 2 nights, reception was on 7th floor, our room was on floor 1 so we did not see reception after check in. The hotel is right across from the train station (Waverly) which is so nice when you are pulling several bags! The room was nice, had a sink separate from the shower/ toilet which I like. Our shower drain was poor and you had to keep turning the water off to let it drain, but using the handheld sprayer worked fine. It is so close to the Royal Mile, shops, restaurants and attractions. Would stay there again, but hopefully with better drainage!

The hotel is in a great location. Close to Waverley Bridge (bus stop), and both Old and New Town. The staff was very welcoming and accommodated our early arrival. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Market Street Hotel!
