4/10 Fair

Likes: walking distance to Herod's/ Damascus gates of Old Jerusalem; affordable.Disappointing/ Dislikes: 1. Not guaranteed buffet breakfast. Stayed for 6 nights, only the first breakfast that we experienced buffet; the succeeding days until departure only a regular plate of 2 pieces of small cold cuts, greek cheese, a cheddar cheese, 3 slices cucumber, tomato &boiled egg though if we request tuna or scrambled egg hotel will provide one but not both because "outside of budget"; reason: because on our second day (until we left)we're the only occupants of hotel after a group on pilgrimage left (now I wonder why no one wants to stay there); 2. place is isolated, taxi driver from airport not familiar/didn't know hotel existed; though he's familiar w/ other hotels; no bus tour pick up;needed to walk to AmericanColony Hotel even when it's still very dark in the mornin.3.Front desk personnel (except guy at daytime), not polite. 4. So lonely during our stay in this hotel, we're the only guests (we're expecting to meet other people from other parts of the world, also to get an idea what tours they're into but none; to get to our room, we can take an elevator only up to 2nd floor then walk a long winding corridor, go up stairs to reach our room on the 3rd floor (which is facing the only other room on that floor). Very disappointing to book in this hotel. There can be other cheap hotels with free breakfast but I don't think not as bad as this one. I will never recommend this to friends.
