I like this hotel and will go again. its conveniently 200m from Liceu metro and 10 mins walk from the Airport bus stop at Placa Catalunya. You can walk to most of central Barcelona tourist attractions from the hotel.
I know this place wont be to everyone's taste. It's a converted monastery and the rooms were originally the monks cells, so they are not massive or lavishly appointed. They are clean, and have a shower or bath ensuite.
Downside, no tea/coffee making facility for guests, but then you have bakeries, supermarkets and tapas bars within a few doors where you can get a drink for a Euro or two.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The central courtyard is a nice place to sit.
There are some great places to eat and drink in the surrounding streets, and this side of the Ramblas around Raval area is a bit less touristy (and less pricey) than the Barri Gothic. Check out Ramblas Raval and the streets north and west of the hotel for decent nearby bars/restaurants.
