Convenient
It's a cute boutique hotel with an old school yet industrial vibe. The restaurant doesn't open until 9am so I wasn't able to use my food credits because I needed to leave every day before then. 9am is too late for a hotel to serve breakfast. It was also pretty cold in the room even after I turned off the aircon and it was noisy, both from street noise and because of the wooden floors. It was convenient as I was spending most of my time in Koreatown.

Felt like the check-in and check-out was unnecessarily complicated. Just want to be able to check-in and check-out without a bunch of extra steps. Kept receiving texts and emails about both and honestly just kind of stressed me out. Outside of that, it was a lovely hotel.

2/10 Poor

Never again!
Pictures are misleading. This hotel is in a very dangerous part of town. The restaurant closes at 4 so does the bar. The place was extremely noisy. It’s like they had apartments upstairs and we could hear everything going on. No customer service in the evening. Bathroom had no privacy, only a frosted glass separating the bed from the toilet/shower. They charge $35 for parking and they provide zero security. I didn’t sleep at all, I felt scared and in danger the whole time. Never again!!! I honestly think employees are writing the 10/10 reviews because there is absolutely no way this is a 10! Don’t stay here unless you bring some time of security.

7/10 hotel
We really liked the room it was very cozy but it was smaller than expected. Bathroom took us by surprise the doors are made out of privacy glass but you can still see through which kinda made it uncomfortable at first. Showers don’t have a door so when we showered we went through so many towels because the floor would be all wet. There is also not microwaves or fridges in the rooms. Other than that the rooms are nice, beds are super comfortable, and the area is nice to walk around.

Stay on Nov.2024 for one night. The room is clean and the staff is friendly, but the Main Street is noisy. We could not really sleep despite having windows closed. They need a chair or small sofa to seat. They advertise as parking available but they don't provide parking price in web site. $34 doll per night. Be aware!

Very poorly designed bathroom
The room was fine (smallish), clean and the service was great, but the bathroom was the poorest design I have ever encountered. Shower is open on 3 sides there is no lip to Lee the water from spreading all over the floor. With normal use, water was splashing nearly to the bathroom door and there was a puddle reaching the bathroom counter. We had to ask for several extra towels to make a homemade lip to reign in the water. There is also almost no slant in the floor towards the drain so water had to be pushed towards it. This made the bathroom a wet mess for the entire stay.

Can’t wait to come back
It was an amazing time, I loved the decor in the room. My favorite was the display outside our door to let staff now we wanted service, or if we are sleeping instead of using that paper outside your door handle. The area around was amazing we had so much shops and even a karaoke bar next door. The restaurant was packed so didn’t get a chance to try it but it looked so good!

No bathroom privacy and very small!
We were excited to stay at this hotel, but it is extremely small with hardly any room for any of your personal belongings. The restroom is basically part of the bedroom area since the door is a sliding translucent door right next to the toilet, which means that your silhouette is very noticeable to the people sitting on the bed next to the toilet. Needless to say, this room was not comfortable and if you came with anyone other than your immediate family, you would probably not use the bathroom since they get to see your whole action of sitting on the toilet, waiting for be done and then wiping your butt!! Also, the sliding door doesn't shut too well, with some big gaps, which means there is no privacy while you are in the toilet. The shower, there is only a semi wall between the toilet and the shower, with a sink in front of both. Needless to say, when you showered the whole bathroom floor got completely wet because there is no higher leveled floor so that the water from the shower doesn't flow to the toilet area or the sink area. It seemed like a cool concept to put the shower just there without anything to keep the water in just the shower area, but in reality, everything got wet, which means that the floor became slippery for anyone to walk in to wash their hands or use the toilet. Definitely not a comfortable stay, especially with two kids who had no room to walk around!!!

LA Boutique hotel in ktown weekend
The good. Room was fairly large and I had a corner with 3 windows that opened and had screens. Room sparsely appointed but maintained the brick, frosted glass and hardwood flooring vibe with simple metal shelf framing. Very functional. Bed was comfortable. AC/HVAC/thermostat was functional. Blackout shades were very helpful. The ok. Room had a faint odor when first entering but nothing opening the window daily couldn’t fix. The bathroom was small with a frosted glass door, and shower was splashy if not extra careful. Just need to be aware otherwise might get counters and entire bathroom flooring v wet. No room fridge. No free water. Unfortunately the hotel is on a busy street with some car movement so daytime it is noisy even with windows closed, esp rooms facing the street. I was on the upper floors. But late night it wasn’t terrible with windows closed and I was able to sleep. The area might not be great if you are planning to be walking at night but daytime I had no concerns and I was using Uber. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Compared to other ktown hotels I’ve frequented, Line hotel is slightly less noisy but rooms condition is avg small concrete dorm room experience. Elevator isn’t reliable so lot of stairs or waiting around. But has a pool. Hotel Normandie can be quieter maybe, or louder. Simple smaller less appointed old rooms but free morning coffee-tea and happy hour drinks. None are new modern hotels with modern conveniences. But good for a weekend.

Overall all very nice. Neighborhood is a little further from downtown then i would like. I wasn't a fan of how close the bathroom was to the bed. Really no privacy for bathroom time. You definitely need to be comfortable with your person. Room wasn't filthy, but could have been cleaner. Great place to lay your head for a weekend trip. The automosphere when you walk in was very vibey.
