This is a great spot walking distance from so many things in Grand Marais. It's not fancy, but is well taken care of and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The price is also excellent compared to many other places in town. We love that we can walk to Gunflint Tavern and shopping.

Property doesn’t have an elevator, they don’t provide housekeeping unless requested. Breakfast was dismal, just breads, cereal or oatmeal in a box. Location was good for my visit, the view from my window overlooking the lake was good.

We travel frequently and have stayed in all kinds of hotels-fancy to basic. This is a great little hotel that is convenient to everything downtown without having to get in the car.
The room is very clean, extremely quiet and we had a nice view of the lake.
We don't eat breakfast, so we don't usually care if there's breakfast available. My only complaint is that it's difficult to control the temperature in the room and AC can get a little noisy at night. Otherwise, fantastic stay, especially for the price and location.

Only a couple things to complain about- the vending machines weren’t working or full and parking was definitely not easy when you go during prime snowmobile season!
Overall it was a beautiful place. Met lots of new people and the staff were great and willing to work with us when we had to leave early.
We would definitely stay here again probably when it’s a little warmer!

The motel is somewhat dated but overall is clean with comfortable beds. The continental breakfast could be improved---even just offering hard boiled eggs would be nice.

Clean and cozy. Cozy because it was near or below zero and the room temp was comfortable. Not to mention waking to a view of lake superior is tough to beat. The light breakfest is simple. So don't expect eggs and bacon.

It is due for an upgrade. Bathroom is way outdated. TV stations are terrible and very hard to operate.
