No longer my favorite property in Cebu
I have stated at this property many times over the years and sadly have noticed a recent deterioration in the cleanliness maintenance and upkeep. We checked into the room & it smelled like urine housekeeping had to bring in a ionizer machine to try to clean the air. Machine was quite loud and stayed on entire stay. The TV did not work & maintenance had to come up and fix the connection, even after that many of the channels were very fuzzy or unwatchable due to the poor video connection. The rooms are becoming outdated and really look the same as they did 10 years ago when I stayed at this property. One of the air conditioners in the fitness center did not work and half of the equipment did not work properly. I would like to say that the staff at the pool bar is very friendly, especially Albert, the bartender. The restaurant staff and dayshift staff at the front desk are also very friendly. Unfortunately the afternoon front desk clerk attempted to add a 1500 peso per night surcharge to my room simply because my daughter was now 13 years old and not 12 years old or younger. This was despite the fact that I had prepaid the room and on the Hotels.com website, children were stated to be 17 years of age and younger. The front desk supervisor stated that there’s an internal policy at the hotel that anyone over the age of 12 years is considered to be an adult & that I would need to pay an extra person and an extra breakfast fee. Hotels.com had to step & help get the fee waived.
