Very peaceful, clean and friendly place to stay.
We were greeted warmly by a lovely couple and four beautiful labradors. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. The Old Mill is so peaceful and quiet and our little schnauzer also enjoyed her stay. Breakfast was delicious and we will definitely visit again soon.

Comfortable base for business or pleasure
Congenial 2 nights( working at Sledmere) with obliging proprietors . Good for business, or leisure - well located for coast, Malton eg Eden Camp , York & of course Sledmere estate. Comfortable room, substantial breakfasts, pleasant bar. Dog friendly but resident animals were not intrusive.

Nice quiet place in the country. Nice welcome, the couple running the place are very nice. Food is excellent. Rooms are ok sized. Beds are comfortable. Shower is really powerful and hot. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. They have a few dogs which are really friendly. Will stay here again if in the area.

At English Amateur Golf Championship at Ganton
My only issue was the humming of an electric motor during the day. I would however thoroughly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again.

Cosy family hotel
The en suite rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The most outstanding part of our visit was the food. Dinner was delicious and the full English breakfast, one of many choices, was well presented and tasty.

Lovely old mill, away from the village .
The Old Mill looks charming as you drive down a quiet country lane. You park around the back in a yard made attractive by flower planters. You will be greeted by large very friendly dogs. If you don't like dogs this Is not for you. On entering you do get a strong smell of dog and the lobby is a little rustic. Building d ing work is on going as it changes from a b and b to cottages. Has not been a hotel for a while. The owner s run the b and b and couldn't be more helpful. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The room overall was compact perhaps due to the very large bed. The ensuite room was very small and functional. The shower itself was great. Noisy water system after flushing the toilet. Very quiet at night.

The most friendliest, warmest hotel in the world!!
I never write reviews for hotels as I stay in so many that I realise some have good days and some have bad days. But I stayed here for business, it was late in the evening when I arrived and I was pleasantly surprised when Gary rang me to check if I had eaten or if I required anything from the restaurant before it closed (unfortunately I had already ate, so did not require anything, as I later found out the food was of first class) upon my arrival at 9pm I was greeted with a pint at the bar and a chat with a couple of the locals, which made my stressfull day a distant memory. From then on I felt like this was a truly lovely place, the food is amazing, the hotel is very clean even, and in the evenings it has a real home from home feel as you are welcomed in to the hotel to enjoy a chat and a drink with anybody who happens to be sitting at the bar, I enjoyed my few days their and I will definately be coming back to this hotel when I visit the area again.

Reasonable for a one night stay
We were comfortable enough, though we were disappointed that there was no shampoo or bar soap to use. Just pump bottles of hand wash and body wash. Also that the duvet cover was not ironed and was very crumpled which spoiled the whole effect.

Great individual hotel
Used the hotel as a base to explore the east coast over a bank holiday weekend with my family-inc dog! Great food, exceptional in fact! The restaurant is used by locals too, the bar is homely and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is kept in tip top condition. The location is quiet and tucked away but close enough to easily explore the surrounding area, car essential!

Well worth a visit
This is a fab little gem 5 miles north of Driffield. Nothing was too much problem for them and it was great that they not only accepted dogs but positively encourage them. If you are not a dog or cat person not the place to be though as they have 6 Labradors and 1 cat... Breakfast was great and you could have as much as you like. All the comforts in the room including enough tea bags for a non coffee drinker. Lovely family who run it and lovely surroundings.
