As in every hotel, there can be pros and cons, and in our case, there were some minor and major issues we encountered during our stay.
The major one, not a discomfort but a disappointment/dissatisfaction, was that the pool was under maintenance (for days!) when we booked. I didn´t see it in the website (thru hotels.com), but the receptionist said they wrote something about it on their website. If only I knew I could have chosen another hotel, because we really wanted to make use of the hotel pool. The only reason I chose Brittany was that it was new (well, apparently the management only, but not the building as I found out later on) and their rooftop pool is really nice. So, even if it was pricey I booked four nights anyway.
When we checked in, I was surprised that the breakfast was included (I didn´t remember that it was included when I booked), which I thought was a of compensation of sorts for the pool being useless. However, although I was satisfied with the breakfast food (though not so much to choose from for that kind of room rate) and the service of the staff, it was the opposite for my husband. The bread section was almost always empty everyday and there was no refill anymore (after past 9 am) and the bread type was not that he expected - mostly the sweet, soft, white bread. There were also days that the fruit section was empty, and it was only watermelon and pineapple slices all the time.
But I like the complimentary soda and bottled water during our stay! :-)
