Overnight Visit
Everyone was very courteous, the rooms were clean. The view was amazing, could see the ocean and the inter coastal waterways and marina. Looked down at the pool area. The rooms are a little dated and could use some updating, the shower and mattress was fair. But overall a nice overnight stay.

Renovation
They are in the middle of a renovation so it’s a bit dusty and inconvenient. The room was spacious and newly renovated but the balcony wasn’t available. You could use it but the dust from construction made it useless

Rip off not what the sands used to be
I love the sans or should I say loved. He used to be a great place to go. Now when you’re staying overnight, they charge you for parking your car, their menu is disastrous, their drink prices at the outdoor bar is over priced and their service is very non-attentive. They give you an ice bucket in your room to fill up. However, there iThey give you an ice bucket in your room to fill up. However, there is no ice machine on the floor. If you want to use the phone to call the front desk, there is no label on the phone what the number is. Tried calling zero hoping it would be it but the phone just rang and rang and nobody answered. Very disappointed in the new owners. It is no longer a local bar that helps support that venue during slow season.

Probably wont be back
When I arrived, I was told parking was vallet only which was an additional $75. I could not find that information anywhere on their website or Hotels.com. Then, I received a room which had an unlocked balcony door, the tv was on showing a random channel (not a hotel welcome screen) and an unlocked (and unlockable!!!) window to the balcony. The balconies were relatively separated from eachother but it would not have been difficult to climb to the next one. I requested a room change and was reluctantly granted it to a room with a locked window and balcony door but missing chain lock for the front door. Both rooms needed cosmetic updates. The room ended up serving its purpose but I dont think I'll be going back.
