Historic, but very dated
No rooms were ready when we arrived at 4PM (check in was at 2PM). We offered to do some shopping and get a bite to eat and then come back. The only room that they could clean had 2 twin beds, not double beds that I reserved. Found out that they only have about 30 rooms available as several floors are for private use. The room had an old CRT style small TV that got horrible reception. There is no place to put anything. No table, only 1 chair, not even a luggage stand. The bathroom had a commercial style toilet that flushed loudly. Tiny outdated shower. The closet had no light so you couldn't see anything if you used it as it was also in the dark entryway of the room. The window view was of a gutter and a wall. We had hoped that the proximity to the main street and the historic nature of the hotel would have been pluses, but the cons way outweighed the convenient location. Only good thing was the front desk person was very pleasant and she was obviously trying, but was limited by the minimal staff and clean rooms available. We will not stay here again, but will choose a better hotel with more updated amenities.

This was mine and my husbands first time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff was super nice!! The room on the other hand was a little run down. The air conditioner/heater barely worked. The bathroom is super tiny. The bed was not all that great but we only stayed for the weekend. We were barely in our hotel anyways so I would probably stay again!

This hotel is beautiful. Clean. Everything was excellent. The night clerk Arron and Jennifer made the night fun. They are very knowledgeable about the history of the town. I highly recommended staying at park hotel. Hiking trails are 20 ft away. The night life attractions are when in walking distance. Very safe. Thank you Arron and Jennifer, you’re the best

Building feels like history, that said your room should not feel like that; no microwave, no fridge, no flat screen tv, no phone in the room, ha a plug in the wall heater and a window unit ac. Blinds not curtains, not even a smoke detector i could see. The mattress, wow i could feel every spring on it.

Cool old building. Bathtub was not clean. Plenty of hair to go around. Room had a small lasko space heater running. Room never got over 63. WiFi was non existent. The room was very meemaw like and still had an old CRT Television that made a terrible noise. Dusty, dingy and in serious need of TLC.

It was super cute , I loved it. It has a great historic look, nice decor without looking too gaudy. My only complaint is the heating system , it was cold and the heater only put the room up to 58 overnight.

Nightmare wedding anniversary
The hotel has no central heating. The space heater didn’t heat the room adequately. This was supposed to be our 4th wedding anniversary. This is a nightmare. Trying to restrain myself from going full drill instructor on the hotel staff and management.

Beautiful because of historical reasons. However I feel it could be updated to accommodate more modern features. Because of availability, we had a room with twin beds. The mattresses needed replacing. The room had only a small electric heater for warmth. There was a thin bedspread for cover and we had to ask for extra cover.

Good location near restaurants, bathhouses and national park. Old building with character. It was very cold outside, and the covers on the beds were thin quilts. There was no heat in the room, only a small space heater which was not adequate.

Usually not a bad place to stay.
We have stayed here several times and never had an experience like this one. Our room was so cold! It had a ceramic heater but was still cold. We were given extra blankets for the bed but that doesn't help when you shower. On Sunday morning there wasn't any hot water when I took a shower.

Pricing is reasonable because the property is dated. Good location to walk the downtown, restaurants and attractions. Good deal if you maintain minimal expectations.

National Historic Hotel Needs Upgrade
No blankets even though it was 30 degrees. Only a small space heater that wouldn't heat above 62. Phone did not work on first two floors.Wifi did not work on our side of the hotel. TV remote did not work, so desk gave us a bag of remotes to try.None of them worked. We realize it is on the National Register of Historic Places and did not expect anything fancy, but at least the services they advertised could have actually worked.

The lobby was great! The room could use some updating!! The hot water handle in shower was broken! I didn’t report because we had checked in too late at night. I did report the next morning!!
