Let’s be clear, this is a “Motel 6” class of property — no frills, small rooms, etc. I liked the facility fine except for the mildew in the shower and the fact that I came back from exploring the city to find my room door wide open, and no one around for quite a while. In fairness, they said that they were in an adjacent room cleaning and that they always open all doors on the floor to facilitate cleaning. However, I felt like the time between my showing up and when they came out to see who was there was a lot longer than I was comfortable with — anyone could have entered my room and walked away with my stuff. Otherwise, we were pretty happy — nice area, close to Sagrada Famulia and a metro stop, and with several nice restaurants close by, with pretty friendly service.

This is a very good value stay. A little unconventional in some ways, but works well as a base for exploring the city. Easily accessible by metro, bus or taxi. 10 minute walk from the Sagrada Familia and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and small shops within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Walls are a little thin so you can hear other guests, but it’s not terrible. Electricity cut off in our room on the first night but the receptionist got it working no problem. Room surprisingly clean and no smell (like other reviews say), and the air con works well. I would happily return for a city break.

2/10 Poor

I think the pictures were taken 10 years ago, now it is not good maintained. Only the first day we had hot water. The air conditioned did not work. Worst at all it was cucarachas in there! Only the second night we found one and killed it, when reported to staff, he look at me as if it was normal and say they did not have people to change the bed line (my mother found it on the bed). I asked new bed line to change myself. When the staff went to the room, they said it was because of the window (We opened only for 5min). Next morning, I found another one in the closet, thinking on staff explanation, we just kill it again (ourselves, so worst experience EVER) That day we returned and found a 3rd one in the closet, so no way it was the window, for sure it was plenty of them. The explanation this time was: "It is Barcelona, and we have a plague, even in the best hotels you will find it" I ask to a local and say it is true, they have a problem, BUT having an adequate control and cleanness you can keep your house (and hotel) cucaracha free. We look at the floor and realised it was not clean at all, so they do a really poor cleaning room service. I booked this Hotel because it was good neighbourhood and very decent price (not cheap at all but for being Barcelona, I would say affordable) and was fooled by the pictures in internet. Honestly, I though I found a good dea, but it became worst nightmare. If I would knew this possibility, I will never book

Definitely alot worse in person compared to the photos and you can hear every noise any of the neighbors make even their sink running or water draining through the pipes the room was gross the floor wasnt even swept only stayed 1 night checked out early and got a better hotel you have to leave the key at the front desk when you leave for the day its not even a key card like every hotel its an actual key with a big plastic key chain that says the room number staff was friendly the place was a dump

The property is very dated. You needed to hand in your key everytime you leave the hotel. The bed was super small and the light switches are right by your head so we were repeatbly hitting them in the middle of the night. People smoke right infront of the front entry way so the whole lobby smelt like cigarette smoke. The staff were friendly but overall I found it expensive for what you get.

This is a very budget hotel for the area at 2*. The room we booked for was supposed to be a twin bed but in fact had a double bed plus a single crammed in, leaving very little space to move around. The walls are quite thin so there was a lot of noise from the adjacent room (and vice versa). However the location was great for what we needed with lots of more local bars and cafes and felt very safe along with great connections to local busses and metro plus Sagrada was 10 mins walk away.

Bathrooms reeked of sewer and the walls were very thin. Staff were nice but I would not stay here again. Close to the Sagrada Familia and Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Ads for hotel were misleading.

Hotel was clean and easy accessible from the airport. We were disappointed that we didn’t have hair dryer or kettle in our room. Floor in the room wasn’t really clean. We also didn’t have a soap or toilet brush in the toilet which was a bit surprising. We have decided to go for breakfast two days in a row but it was teally special. There wasn’t many vegetables to choose from, two tomatoes for breakfast and if someone used them before you, they wouldn’t replace it with another ones. Good hotel to stay for city break but wouldn’t recommend it aging breakfast there.

2/10 Poor

Smelt like sewer in our room, had to keep windows open. Shower head had to be held the whole time or bathroom flooded - learned this the hard way. Needed all but 1 of the towels to clean up the water before anyone in my group got to shower. Asked the cleaning staff for more towels as ours were soaked, she brought me to the front desk as she did not know English. Talked to guy at front desk and explained the situation and was told we needed to wait until cleaning staff cleaned our room for the day (did not need room to be cleaned as we only stayed 2 nights and spent most of our time being tourist) and the cleaning lady was standing right next to us during this conversation or I could pay more for extra towels. Decided to not pay any extra and wait until staff came to our room on their own. Went out for the day and came back and the staff hadn’t been to our room. Asked for more towels at 7:30 pm and explained staff never came. Front desk stated the cleaning staff was gone for the day and we needed to wait until 7:30 am the next day until cleaning staff got there for more towels. Checked out at 11 am and never got towels. Showered at the next hotel instead. Our room looked nothing like the photos we looked at, very outdated, uncomfortable bed, paper thin pillows. They force you to leave your key at the front desk every time you leave the hotel for “security.” Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone.
