Historic Charm, Convenient Location
My daughter and I selected a room with two double beds which was perfect for our overnight stay. Those used to more modern building construction might find the floor layouts odd and room dimensions on the small side but I felt this added to the historic charm of the property. Room was appointed with everything we needed and desk staff was helpful with a special request. You can hear your neighbors a bit through the walls but the location is generally quiet. Outdoor parking area was convenient and felt safe. Mind your car doors on the moderately steep incline. Views on lower floors aren’t great but I bet higher up would be really pretty. Dinner at Larks was lovely although service a bit slow which we assumed may have been due to potential off season staffing issues. I would recommend the Ashland Springs Hotel to anyone who wants a unique lodging experience when visiting the area.

Won't be back!
Classy old hotel, always wanted to try it. Nice, but for almost $200, I don't expect to be around dogs. Even well-behaved dogs. Especially in the breakfast room.
My room was small but comfortable -- it is an ancient place. Not really a "view" room.
I also thought it was cheap and cheesey to add a $5 charge (plus tax?) for vaguely defined "extras" at checkout.

Holiday Inn
We'd planned a trip to the coast but the road was blocked the day we were going to leave so we opted for a more local getaway. Ashland Springs, in the heart of Ashland, offers a world-away feel more than any other site in the valley. It's a beautifully restored, classic, old hotel. Our view room over the holiday lights of town could not have been nicer.

Great time. Again
Older hotel but always love it. Great location in downtown Ashland. Close to shopping, restaurants, play theaters, bars. Hotel has a great bar of its own. Great lobby to hang out in bc of its fireplace. Rooms are small but we don’t spend time in there except to sleep. Always a great time in Ashland and at Ashland springs hotel.

When we checked in we should have been told about coffee being available on the second floor in the evening. Weren’t told about the amenities that the hotel had. We’re also very disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the Monday that we were there. A full service hotel should provide dining every day

The hotel location was perfect! Walking distance to the Shakespeare Festival, lithia park, shoppiny and restaurants. The hotel was very dated, the rooms are small, parking wqs awkward, room wawnt ready until close to 5pm. With an 11 am checkout. So expensive for th3 time in the room. The roonservice and breakfast was delicious. We had a room that was near the elevator which was extremely noisy and busy! Also housekeeping starting vacuuming at 9am. The rooms where not insulted as we heard everything ! The ice machines and vending where not working , so we had to ride the emevator down to the restaurant to get ice and water. This iw not the hotel for people with mobility issues or get anxiety in tight places . Felt cramped the entire stay.

Had to check in early. Clerk was supposed to notify me when room was ready. Never did. I had to go ask again. No information on how to get water. Had to play hide and seek to find coffee pot. Insufficient creamer. Inconvenient position of socket to plug in coffee machine.
