The property owner was extremely nice! Location was perfect, far from the noise but it’s only a 5-7 minute walk from the train station is. Breakfast is served at the time you want and there is hot water! Place is very nice!

Great place to stay
Our stay was greatly. The gentleman was very welcoming and answered all my questions. They even offer to keep our luggage until we came back from our trip Machu Picchu when our check out was at 9:30am. I recommend this place.

I can highly recommend. Very pleasant staff. Hotel Mistico is very clean, on quiet place and very homy. Downstairs there is a mineral shop with local and typical stones of Machu Picchu. All hotel has very nice smell of fragrand sticks which is very congenial. From outside you can hear only river murmur and you are only 5 steps from termal hot water. Only thing we noticed there is not too much hot water for showering in the room. But if you do it quickly is good. I would definitively come back to this hotel again.

A friend and I stayed here for one night, before a trip up to Machu Picchu with an early morning start. We slept extremely well — best night's sleep of our trip to Peru! — enjoying the white noise of the creek behind the hotel.

Fantastic hotel
Clean, comfortable, super friendly (helped me understand my Machu Picchu ticket and other hints to make my visit easier), had a nice bag breakfast for me since I had an early entry. Would highly recommend!

Service is really good. The front desk checked my required documents to MP, I forgot to print the ticket. All I got is the booking confirmation. And she printed my ticket for me. Also, she provided many useful info.

Magic place in a magical setting
This place was amazing, overlooking the river and right at the bottom of one of the mountains surrounding the town. It’s less than 10 minutes away from the train station and very close to the thermal baths (though I wouldn’t really recommend these). We were received upon our late arrival and they accommodated our request to store our luggage almost the whole day after. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Machu Picchu - it is convenient, clean, scenic and good value.

There are no cars in Aguas Caliente, so a short walk up from the train station to get to the hostel. At 8pm, I was trying to sleep and someone was trying to enter my room. After many attempts, I heard keys trying to open my door which alarmed me. The staff explained they wanted to ask me about what time I wanted breakfast the next day, but I still fail to understand why they needed to come in to my room... or wouldnt identify themselves sooner. This incident had me uncomfortable to leave my room and ruined my night.

Wonderful friendly and very helpful staff. They went above and beyond our expectations to help us get in contact with our guide and kept our belongings safe while we went up to Machu Picchu. The room was clean and the beds so comfy. Slept with the window open and the sound of the mountain stream running by. Very nice breakfast served from 4:45 am to allow for early start to Machu Picchu. I wish we could stay another night here and enjoy the hot springs and a massage spa.

This a very nice place, very friendly and helpful people. Our room had a balcony facing the river side and we enjoyed sleeping to the sound of water. Room was clean and spacious with no TV or extra amenities, but for us it was perfect to keep us away from the modern world and more in touch with nature.

Comfortable mistic place
The good: The place was right next to a river, so I enjoyed the soundof a strong current every night and morning. Very magical, added to a decoration of mistic paintings in nature everywhere. The beds were really comfortable. People were sweet. I was able to leave my things after checked out, to go to the termas that are right there. Towels and swimming suits are rented right before entering the termas in small shops for almost nothing. The termas put a lock on your things, so I felt safe about leaving documents and money in the locker. The not so good: Breakfast is not included. There is a small extra charge of about US$5. Also, a commission of 7% when you paid credit card. It is OK because the price of the room is low and worth it when you are limited with cash. A little lack of trust on whether I was going to pay for the breakfast. So has to paid upfront for it. That was unpleasant.

Good stay for a traveler
Wifi could be better. 7.5% charge to use a credit card was frustrating. Breakfast was better than expected. Room was quite enough. Including towels in the price was a nice addition. Nearing the outside of town but still a quick walk to any where. Stored our bags for a few hours, very helpful.

The hotel itself was very charming. We had a nice comfortable room with a balcony that viewed the river. Also, it was very close to the hot springs and lots of fun restaurants and shops. They provide you a nice breakfast at a the time you'd like and have luggage storage for while at Machu Picchu. However, the service is not great. When we arrived there was an error with our reservation. They claimed it was cancelled and our booked room was not available even though I received an email a few days prior from Hotels.com saying my booking. We were able to get 2 double rooms instead of our room for 4, but they wanted to charge us for 2. I told the man at the front desk that 2 rooms was fine, but I should only pay the price for the one room I was quoted. He became confused and some how though I was unhappy with the rooms. Eventually, I got him to understand that we were completely fine with 2 rooms instead of one and we just weren't paying more for their mistake and he honored our price. Also, when we went to get our luggage from storage, we sat around for a long time waiting for an unknown reason. So, make sure to be very sure you need the luggage now when you go to get it. Overall, the hotel itself was very nice and comfortable, just the communication with the staff is difficult.
