8/10 Very Good

The hotel is located near a large shopping complex and the hotel is next to a train station, which makes access to other shopping complexes, Ariaki Garden and Toyosu Market convenient. Train line also continues into Tokyo which is also nice. The down side of the property is they lack enough bilingual staff...which makes communication difficult especially when asking for directions...which brings up a point of not having a concierge.

Needs Improvement
The location is somewhat isolated, but there are options if you wander. The hotel and surrounding area had a Hawaiian/California theme, so there were a lot of shops that catered to that. It felt somewhat tacky and less authentic Japanese compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Japan, which felt a bit cheap. But then again it is a Hilton and that was obvious. Service was mostly average and the staff who were nice were far outnumbered by the lackadaisical. I felt more like a number than a guest. For example, I paid for an extra half-day because our flight left late at night. The charge was around $65 if we checked out by 6 pm and a full night charge if we checked out later. I called the front desk to request an extra hour because we were running late but they plainly said it would be double the charge, so we rushed out of the room by 6 pm. By the time the front desk acknowledged us it was 6:02 pm. They had the gall to charge me for a full night because it was after 6 pm, so I had to assert myself. He finally removed the extra charge but I was made to feel in the wrong for it. Add to this the removal of room service until 5 pm (room service was one of the reasons we stayed here), and a subpar breakfast buffet, this wasn't our favorite hotel. The positives: the view from the room is spectacular! And we enjoyed a walk on the boardwalk.

We loved the spa, though it cost money every time we used it. It should be included as we are paying guests in the hotel.

4/10 Fair

Attitude of staff was often 'nothing I can do to help'. The hotel has a very poor breakfast arrangement, that often resulted in us (family) in queue for 10-20mins waiting for a table at breakfast, that hardly ever was prepared and we had to find our own cutlery. The hotel promotes itself as a Disney friendly site, but offers no assistance or support in ANY way in getting tickets; staff were just rude, dismissive and lacked any empathy. The complimentary regular shuttle is 7.30am in the morning, returning 9.10pm - take it or leave it. Request for guidance and support with transportation and local shopping, was also poor and we stopped asking. Finally; to use the hotel GYM was about $30USD and the pool about $35USD - even as a hotel guest! Very few staff seemed really interested in helping guests and the hotel was just more interested in making as much money as possible, not about customer satisfaction. NOT what we expected from the Hilton. Never had such a poor experience with this chain previously. Definitely will not be back!!
