Great place- being your own pillow!
The room was perfect. It’s small but they did well with the adjustable bed, storage underneath, small shower and bathroom, and a tiny closet. They had water at each elevator stop and a fine little gym with interactive life fitness machines and weights. The neighborhood is rough but both the hotel and city have done a lot to make it safe with security 24/7 and hundreds of volunteers on the streets so we felt fine walking everywhere including to Chinatown and back. There’s super close public transport, Waylon, and ride shares if it’s too much for you though. And they have a list of neighborhood restaurants that you get a discount with your room key. Check out the roof top bar at the hotel proper across the street for an amazing view and overpriced cocktail.
My only complaint is that the pillows are built for giraffes. They were legitimately 14” tall. After 3 nights my neck was as killing me but they had no other options.

Hotel block is okay and staff were good, however the area around the hotel feels unsafe. A lot of drug addicts and homeless around who will harass and intimidate if you are not streetwise and forthright with them.

Parking not provided! Paid parking at parking garage and you muat walk back to hotel. Problem occured when my flight was delaywd and it was 11:20 pm when i checked in. We were given instructions on location of parking garage only to arrive at a closed garage that shuts down at 11:30. No parking available and forced my son to drive 15 minutes away to uber back. I paid for junior suite with sofa bed yet not pillows or bed linen provided in room. At 2:30 am i finally laid my head down. The night representative was attentive and very helpful. However, i was only compensated a refund for facility fees. They still charged me riom fee!

The hotel itself was perfect. I felt safe no issues. In the morning there were a large group of unhoused individuals across the street but by night there were police cars on all four corners and cleared out.
Great bakery near by and walkable to great neighborhoods. BART and buses right outside the door - which is perfect.
If you’re not use to city streets and the unhoused this area might scare you. Hotel did an amazing job keeping everything locked unless you’re a guest.

Run, do not walk!
The room was not as described and I immediately complained with the staff that did nothing to give me a room like the one I had reserved. I was supposed to get a suite with a seperate bedroom, a private bathroom, and a separate sitting area. None of those were true.

This is a pretty cool hotel. So many amenities like shared workspaces, fitness room, super-fast wifi, water/ice stations on every floor, fresh, modern interiors.
